The book is worth reading to learn about the richness for the soul in Orthodoxy.

A fantastic refutation of Protestant teachings

This book is a real contribution. All Orthodox and other Christians should read it.

I was given a review copy of this book, but the thoughts of the review are my own.
This book is a brief primer hitting on the major points of disagreements between Evangelicals and Orthodox. The tagline seems a bit strange because it reads more as if it was written to Orthodox to point out differences they’ll run into when dialoguing with Evangelicals. This is also a crowded space with many books already written contrasting differences between Protestantism and Orthodoxy. Its existence begs the question of do we really need another one of these books written? My guess is this book is Fr. Farley’s attempt at fixing a few shortcomings with other popular titles in this genre and presenting a better alternative, and if that’s the criteria to grade the book on I think he’s quite successful. This book distinguishes itself in some notable ways to justify another interfaith book being added to the pile. First off this book is quite short while still being information dense, I think this will definitely help people when giving it to a friend so you aren’t giving them too much homework. Secondly, another notable difference is this book isn’t written at all in a combative fashion, it simply presents the author’s points and moves along. The average reader likely will not find anything new or compelling in these pages, which is totally fine given the purpose of this book, and can probably skip it.

My only complaint; some of the pages are not properly cut to size and hang out farther than the others. I had to trim them myself to avoid damaging the book. For the price I am not upset about this, but I would have been if I had bought the imitation leather version.

Otherwise nothing negative at all to report. The notes and articles are fantastic, the type is beautiful and easy to read, and I find the complaints about thin paper to be practically not noticeable. (If you've read any old hardcover King James Bible you're familiar with the paper used for this Bible.) I love this Bible despite the page issue I had and would order again if I damaged this one. A must have for Orthodox Christians.

Overall I love these cards, they are billed as 50 activities for 50 days, which I think is a bit too ambitious for our family, but we do like to pull a card and do 2-3 per week for lent. Some are easier to do, some require some prep (visiting an old folks home, Baking a cake, etc.) They are one of the many things you can do as a family during Lent which I think is beautiful and helpful for growth as a family to doing things together and for others.

The Louhs, in a most authentic and extraordinary manner, take us to the time of Christ's crucifixion and the six most important words He shared on the cross. They intrinsically connect these words with life's most difficult issues and offer solutions on how to navigate life through the wisdom of these words.

This book offers an exceptional perspective on how to address life’s complex issues with greater clarity, authenticity and grace.

It's a must read & a must share!!!

He loved it! The quality was first class. Thank you

What a joy it was to read this book. Reflecting on Christ's statements during His final hours on earth, the Louhs beautifully explore faith in a real-world context, while underscoring the eternal truth and meaning of Christ's statements. The challenges of faith in modern life are honestly explored and practical insights are offered. I found myself highlighting many impactful statements that either presented a perspective new to me or articulated an already held belief in an especially clear and vibrant way. The book gently leads the reader through a process of self-reflection that can lead to faithful purpose and action. This is a book filled with love and hope and a call for us to purposefully connect to Christ. Highly recommended! great read for the Lenten and Paschal season, or anytime.

It’s wonderful.

The Little Way of a Pilgrim is a beautiful nod to the Orthodox spiritual classic The Way of a Pilgrim. Like the original book, this picture book answers the question, "How can I pray without ceasing?" with a pilgrim's journey. As the pilgrim travels on his way, he seeks guidance in the way of prayer through various spiritual masters he encounters. In this picture book, the pilgrim is a young boy and the spiritual guides are men and women in his community who have a deep love for the Jesus Prayer. The story is written in poetic form and accompanied by vibrant, colorful illustrations that capture the beauty of Eastern Christianity in moments a child might recognize: a Divine Liturgy, an older woman praying at a kitchen table, and the boy kneeling in front of an icon corner. The journey to discover the way of contemplative prayer is not without obstacles, and I particularly like that this book highlights those difficulties, while emphasizing that the treasure discovered in prayer is worth pursuing. The pilgrim's feet hurt, he is tired at times, a wolf interrupts the pilgrim's path. A monk offers the pilgrim rest at a monastery and he discovers that praying the Jesus Prayer is like "a taste of heaven". Jesus said that "the kingdom of God is within you," and this book invites both children and adults to discover that kingdom in their own hearts.

This book is written with a child´s perspective of seeking curiosity and questioning. The illustrations are gorgeous and beautiful colors. Children are always seeking to know the why in this world and understanding prayer is not so concrete to grasp. This book helps children understand that prayer can always be in our hearts as we go about our day and all that we encounter. I appreciate that the author encourages the reader to continue to learn and grow closer to God through our journey to seek Him with a prayer in our hearts. As an adult, I find myself reading this book again and again to remind myself the simple way to pray and have God close to my heart, putting the busyness of life aside.

Beautifully written icon.

Very popular with our customers at our Orthodox Christian bookstore.

I had been using my dad's bible for some time now. It feels great to have one of my own.

The prayers at the beginning are great to have, and so is the introduction. The cover feels a little bit soft for something hardcover, but it's not like I'm going to be throwing it around and slamming it on the walls.

This was my first time ordering from Ancient Faith Store. Rest assured I will be ordering other things in the near future 👏

High quality and lovely stained glass.

I was a little skeptic of the quality because it's so affordable compared to other wall crosses, but it's really well crafted and beautiful. Three layers of materials and very detailed, this will be the wall cross for my prayer corner.

I prefer this over store-bought, commercial soap products. It seems like I use less of this per use yet get just as clean - plus it’s made with Love! God Bless you All!

One of the best books I have ever read!
