This seems to have helped my 4 year old who has a habit of screaming. She doesn't seem to scream as much. But the really nice part is that she is able to calm down more quickly. This was noticeable within the first 2 days of her wearing it. The first day, she didn't scream at all. And the second day, when she did, she calmed down so much faster.
