Investment Planning Certificate Program
Not trying to be rude or mean but wanted to honestly assess the Investment Planning Certificate Program in the hopes it's improved in the future. I am currently studying for the CFP Exam which I take in September 2020, and the CFP Investment related study materials from Kaplan (which I ordered) are much better organized and structured, present far superior information, and just plainly are more professionally put together than the AICPA Investment Planning Certificate Program materials. My personal honest opinion - the Kaplan investment study materials are far superior in presentation as well as substance to the AICPA's investment study materials. I was much more impressed with "The Adviser's Guide to Education Planning - by Ross Riskin" than any of the modules in the Investment Planning Certificate Program. Ross Riskin's document is "A+" material. I would say the modules for the Investment Planning Certificate Program are "C+" by comparison (with Kaplan study materials for the CFP being a "B" to "B+"). Wrote this fast so I apologize about any typos.

It was mostly review of the basics, I guess that's why its "fundamentals". I don't see this "certificate" being an asset for my practice. It's too vague. A "certificate" should mean more than just attending a webinar and I think it would confuse clients about the expertise of the "certificate" holder if pinned on the website.
