My first online order was not a pleasant experience. A 'our choice' coin which I ordered was not in stock (which I was aware it stated on the website) but I would expect they have 100's of coins to choose from? it also allowed me to order this coin with storage fees that would be instantly applied effectively charging me for a storage for this coin which they didn't have. That isn't what upset me, what upset me more and was very discussed at was that they asked me ( a loyal customer (In-store for over 5 years) to send an extra £1 To upgrade to a coin that they did have in stock. As this was first order for (a new online customer from their perspective) I would never ask £1 from anybody. I would have continued to be a loyal customer for life. But I will now look for a new dealer. There are hundreds of other gold dealers out there that will appreciate my business more apparently than the chard does.

Good afternoon, firstly thank you for feedback we always read and take on board both positive and constructive feedback. The coins bought are a "sourced to order" status which means customers can purchase for the metal value based on the current price of gold at the time and await for delivery. This often meets with satisfaction as customers can play the gold price even when we don't have physical stock. In addition customers see this as an option for free storage which is why we continue to offer the service and are happy to wait. Based on previous feedback we understand that some customers may not fully understand the status which is why when we initially process your order we then give an option to offer a full refund, or to upgrade to an item we have in stock. As the wait can be short or long depending on the market we have added an offer to upgrade to an item we have in stock for £1 as supposed to the usual £4 per coin. In regards to the storage, we would not charge storage until the item is in stock as you would not be using our on-site storage facilities until then. I will make sure this is clear for any future customers. Regards, Ian
