Presentation-wise however, I was disappointed that after spending over £6,600.00 on the purchase of 5 coins, Chards seemed unable to afford the few pence it would have costed to encapsulate those same coins!!! As for everything else, including the courtesy of its staff, full marks.

I have used Chards before and I never had a problem.
The only reason I gave them four stars on this occasion as opposed to five is that one of the coins I ordered was a sovereign and I was disappointed with its relief, its was not a good one and was very shallow.

All very smooth. I would liked to send the coin to a different address to mine as it was a gift but try as I might, there was no way of doing it despite the form listing billing and delivery addresses separately.

Hi Vanessa. Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. Due to security reasons, orders placed by debit card must be sent to the card billing address. We are however able to send to a different delivery address if paid for by bank transfer.

Nice to do business with, but extremely slow to deliver. Purchased two coins at different times and both took a week to deliver, despite being told “ your order has been packed and will be despatched in three days time” . Surely if it has been “ packaged”, why isn’t it put in the post immediately rather than sit on the desk for 3 days? Doesn’t make sense to me. Somebody needs to explain the delivery system to me. I don’t have this problem with other dealers.

Hi John. Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry your delivery took longer than you expected. We aim to despatch all orders within 2 working days and I can see that both your orders were despatched on the 2nd working day. Once sent, second class deliveries normally arrive within 2-3 working days. We email the despatch information as soon as we can, just in case the delivery needs to be rescheduled. I hope this clears things up for you. If you have any more questions, just let us know.
