I would like to thank Mr Ron Allen, of Allen Engineering, and Charlie's for fulfilling what I thought was an untenable goal. Mr. Ron generously shared his time, expertise, and guidance to make sure I did it right. I would also like to thank Charlie's for their excellent service along the way. Ryan was fantastic in helping ensure that I got everything worked up right and delivered a box full of all I needed to own and enjoy my own slice of the legendary history associated with the Battle of Mogadishu. I departed Somalia after participating in the humanitatian aid mission as a UH-1 Observer/Gunner just prior to the climactic battle. My issued personal weapons were a Colt CAR-15 and an M9. Later, I carried an M16A2, and after changing branches, an M16A2/M203 and my last weapons an M4/203 and a Mk12 MOD 0. Mr. Allen and Ryan went out of their way and generously gave me their time and patience to help me to work thru my goal of slowly picking my way towards owning a copy of the weapons I used during the time I served. The easy part is finished, the Mk12 is perfect and the barrel finish and accuracy are fantastic. The hard part now is waiting for the tax stamp to spring Mr. Allen's AEM5 outta my FFLs Vault. I appreciate the expeditious service in arranging and completing the transfer. Everything about the service, the products, and the assistance were amazing. Some people buy the car they never could afford in high school when they hit that mid-life bump. I happen to prefer military history, and Charlie's is helping me to have old memories that I can take to range. I have a copy of my old CAR, and the MK12 with Ron's AEM5 have helped me ring steel at 850...quietly. Time to get crackin' on that M4/203...

Amazing quality!

Had a pretty bad experience with Charlie’s the first time I ordered in 2019 but I tried them again since they were the only place in stocked. Shipping fairly quick considering the panic. The shims on the muzzle device are not the prettiest but I ran an alignment gauge on it with my surefire supresser and it was all good to go. Would definitely shop again for hard to find parts.

In my opinion this selector is the absolute best. The angle of the lever for a right hand shooter is perfect and works flawlessly with the thumb. This is an extremely hard item to find, so if you're looking for one and find it you better snatch it up fast!
