I found my way to the CQD mounts (and subsequently Charlie’s Custom Clones) because I needed a forward sling mount for my patrol carbine. I had previously been running a Magpul picatinny mounted sling adapter (I believe RSA is the name) but because of the way it’s oriented no matter where you place it on a rail system, your sling end shifts around and can end up getting bound up if you’re running full kit and moving a lot for home/building clearing. This frustrated me so much because it was an obvious safety hazard that was inhibiting me from running my rifle as smoothly as I could but I could not find a single forward sling mount that was oriented properly that didn’t have some stupid swivel dangly crap that would make unnecessary noise. I stumbled upon the CQD mount one day when looking at MK18 clones and was very excited. My only concern was if the inner diameter of the loop portion was large enough to fit a Magpul paraclip, since that’s what is on my sling. I bought it hoping for the best and sure as Hell the paraclip fits and functions flawlessly with the CQD mount! I had never shopped at Charlie’s before but when I was looking at reviews of MK18 builds and where people had purchased their CQD mounts, a lot of folks complained about being sold fakes from many vendors. The only ones that people seemed to have positive experience with was buying from CQD directly or buying from Charlie’s. Well, CQD was currently out of stock on their own products but Charlie’s had it in so I gave them a shot. Very happy that I did. Even during this COVID situation and then sending customer service emails saying that there might be delays due to staffing, my order got to me quicker than I expected. I plan on ordering another of the exact same mount through Charlie’s as well as some other products. Can’t go wrong!

I really liked it! I thought you sent me a used one but I read further and saw it was a part taken off a new gun. Anyway it’s working as designed.

Getting a review from me at all is saying something.
I just took out the MK12 mod 0 upper I got and zeroed it. I’ve wanted to build this thing for like 6 years... It’s a beautiful thing! Everything was perfect. Everything I read said I could expect 1 MOA out of it but i was pleasantly surprised to get 1/2 MOA. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of building time. It was something like 7 weeks to get it to my door during the overblown coronavirus thing. They explained that they were waiting on parts but when I ordered is said it was in stock. I will be using Charlie’s again when this all blows over.
