shipping to California is not easy. These guys shipped my FN Scar, and got the job done. We had a couple of hiccups, so it is important that you do your homework with your local gun dealer as to how they want the item shipped.
At the end of the day, these guys were the only ones who even wanted to try, and they got it done. California DOJ approved and everything done right.

Front Sling, Side Swivel Mount, Stag
Wanted this for a 20 inch AR. Works supremely fantastic ! Coupled with a rear sling attachment located between butt stock and receiver, it makes frontal carry very easy - much better that shoulder carry slings. The Stag Arms mount is well made and solid as a rock. It took me less than ten minutes to install. Only two pins to punch in and that's it. The Colt brand mount is almost twice the price, and I can't see how it could be any better than the Stag brand. Charlies provided EXCELLENT customer service, and emailed me every step of the process, including emailing me the day it was out for delivery !!! Highly recommend the sling/swivel mount, AND Charlies Custom Clones. They're an actual pleasure to do business with. Perhaps if you shop around you'll find a better price ? But is it worth it ? What kind of company is it and do they respond to emails ? Safe purchases equals Charlies Custom Clones in my opinion. Online shopping...buyer beware. You are safe with Charlies !

Surefire FH556RC 1/2-28 SOCOM 4-prong flash hider
For a Mk18 mod 1 clone, you absolutely must have the proper four prong flash hider if you are perfectionist like me! The flash hider I received from Charlie's looked brand new and unused. The FH was not sent in 'standard' Surefire packaging but was vacuum packed in a corrosion resistant bag and arrived without the slightest hint of rust or any blemish. No shims were included but this is not big deal as I had a bunch left over from other FHs I've purchased.
The FH threaded onto my barrel with no issues what so ever and I got it properly timed and torqued using an IWI armorer's wrench in a few minutes. The only thing needed to finish the job is application of Surefire Rock Set or some such suitable alternative (I didn't have any of this handy).
I'm extremely pleased with this flash hider as it looks positively bad *** on my Mk18 clone!

Overall great service. Unfortunately, the rifle arrived missing a torque wrench that should have been included. I brought this to Charlie's attention and they have contacted the manufacturer to request the missing item. That was the only issue in an otherwise very fast, very professional, and very responsive sales process. Especially given the current circumstances. I would definitely recommend Charlies for future purchases.

Needs a shim to fit my Colt 6920LE.
The sling swivel itself appears to be every bit as well made as the Colt version. I ordered this, because it was about 20% cheaper.
It was easy to install, but fits around the barrel so loosely that it rattles back and forth and up and down.
I ended up cutting a half circle of 1/16" sheet metal to fit underneath as a shim. This made it fit so tightly, that it was a huge PITA to drive the pins in and reinstall it. I had to clamp it in place with 2 pairs of Vice Grips and use roll-pin punch (with a centering nub) to get the pins driven back in. Now it fits super snug, and does not budge. Maybe I could've used a few layers of Coke can to shim it a little less tightly.
I understand that not all barrels are the same dimension, but I expected it to at least fit an OE Colt barrel.

LMT heavy duty 5.56 tactical charging handle for AR15, M4 and M16 - FDE
I've been trying to track down one of these FDE LMT charging handles for a long time. They are pretty much nonexistent on the internet, but I knew Charlie's had them at one point, so I just kept checking back and checking back and finally saw a few in stock. Shipping was much quicker than usual, which is always a plus, especially during the corona apocalypse. I'm very glad we have a place like Charlie's that sources these extremely difficult to find parts and sells them for not-as-outrageous of a price as they probably could. And of course if you have an FDE build and you have learned that LMT's charging handle is the perfect size, then this is the only charging handle for you. I ditched a Geissele Airborne handle in favor of this one. I love that non-ambi LMT latch.
