This set of rails, completes my M-16A4 build. The rail system arrived after some wonky postal service shenanigans. The KAC rails were in excellent condition. I had to look-up how to install them, because it's been some years, since I previously installed a set. My own foibles aside, I would highly recommend Charlies Custom Clones to my friends, who want to make clones.

M16 3-prong flash hider for XM16E1 retro
I purchased this one because Brownells was sold out. It was the only other one that I found that had a parkerized finish. Overall its like any another other 3 prong flash hider. On the other side, it was more expensive than most of the suppliers online, and it came with a rust spot on one of the prongs. I removed the rust and touched up the finish. The rifle is not a safe queen, but it would have been nice not to have the rust, especially for the price.

sorry you had some rust. You can return and we will replace. We package our steel products in blue plastic anti-corrosive bags. I have not seen the rust before, but it is steel. Come visit us again for a better reason that Walmart is sold out. We hate to be the parts store of last resort. :)

This upper is the real deal. I have spent my days with all the Gucci uppers and parts out there and I was never all that satisfied with them. But this! This is just a solid piece of awesomeness! A legit take off from the Colt Military line, the only difference being that it has pinned flash hider. Doesn’t get more awesome then that. I have come to really appreciate the guys at Charlie’s and their desire to offer the real deal in all the parts they offer. Thanks guys! I couldn’t be happier with this upper!
