I was working on a Colt/ Daniel Defense M4AI FSP Block II build and needed the Surefire 4 Prong FH556RC-1/2-28 to complete the build. The FH556RC I received was brand new in the plastic bag and included the SF set of shims and Rockset. The only thing it didn’t come with were the installation instructions, most of the ones I’ve seen for sale don’t come with them either. Not a problem I had it professionally Pin/Welded by Rifle Gear in my neck of the woods to make it non-NFA. I had been searching for this FH for quite some time and was on the CCC email notification list. I made the purchase approximately 9 minutes after receiving email notification and was able to snag one of these unicorns. I checked availability later that evening and these were sold out. CCC had them available for purchase for $299.00. This is the best price I have seen them sell for - very happy with my purchase. Thanks again CCC for making these available to us!

I’m a clone nerd, this upper is amazing, I chose the stripped version mainly because I run it on an sbr lower so didn’t want the pinned hider. I know that meant no 4 prong for detail, I have the surefire 3 prong on almost all my setups, the only thing I’ve heard is that the 3 prong has stronger prongs and provides pretty awesome flash reduction during the day you don’t see a flash at night a small flash nothing like a standard a2 hider would do. The rail was made to with stand the rigors of what a socom operator may incounter. So the rail is a bit heavier than say a bcm mcmr mlok rail. Yes the bcm is lighter but socom wanted something that could be abused to hell and back!! The upper reciver I believe is produced by aero on this version unlike the colt upper on the clone version. It pre forms great, I installed a colt bolt and Bcg, let’s not forget the airborne charging handle. It has an amazing feel to it, I know a lot of guys love the standard geiselle charging handle. This one has shorter arms so it has less of a chance of snagging on your gear, and as the name states “airborne”, this was from what I’ve read meant for the bad ass dudes that do airborne jumps into enemy territory, they were having issues with the longer arms snagging there fear making it a pain to get the rifle up and there shouts backed. Now there’s less of an issue of that now for us civilians it just looks good feels good and is very smooth when charging the firearm. There’s nothing wrong with the stripped version, that’s if you have an sbr lower already or you just want to choose your own flash hider and have a local gunsmith pin it on for you. The max I’ve got to fire at is 30 yards lol. Haven’t made it to the outdoor range yet. Here’s something a lot do not know about this upper is it’s slightly over gassed, but for a reason mainly so the gun can operate in dirty conditions more reliably. Do you get gas to the face? Great Colt part; even better customer service.

One hell of a carbine here, i spoke with william over the phone before purchasing and learned more about the m4a1 from him than i did talking to colt themselves. The plastic shows up looking powdered and the anodizing appears inconsistant but an oily rag and some elbow grease made it all uniform and now it looks great. My experience with charlies has been great as well, fast response and consistent status updates via email. Ill be back for more

I wanted to do a tiny review of the comp m2 m68cco optic, I purchased it for a mk18 build, of course that meant I couldnt mount it on some random non usgi mount, I choose the Wilcox 30mm mount that is in use with our military men over seas. I build clones to honor their service and wanted it correct.

My first impression of the scope was WOW!!! The condition of it was pretty much mint I couldnt believe how well it looked! I installed it on the Wilcox mount and threw it on the mk18, I was blown away with its ease to use with both eyes open you dont even notice the scopes there just a clean red dot. Range Time with it on a non Wilcox mount. When I first ordered this product, the mount was on back order, when I was younger I played competitive airsoft for about 11 years and had an old 30mm mount laying around made by AIM trust me I felt as wrong about mounting it in the aim mount as you do reading this saying I did that lmao, but it got the job done that night at the range I did a 25 yard zero with it the range is indoor so I havent had a chance to use it at longer ranges yet I know it will preform great because even thou 25 yards isnt that far at all it stayed on point all night never had a lose of zero nor had to rezero it in after installing my friends surefire suppressor the socom mini 5.56 the scope and barrel held its POI I was Impressed with its preformance in a mount that was garbage not the Wilcox, they Aim sport I had it in. Thanks to John, William, and Mark. I found everything I needed on that order, real fast Id like to say this website by far has the best customer service out of almost every site out there. They all know there stuff and are willing to take time out of there very busy days to help you find what you want, and make it painless, even when your spending the amount of money that the girlfriend/wife will leave you for your neighbor that collects beanie babys still.

When I first saw this announcement at shot show 2018 and they first showed this upper I instantly fell in love, i bought the stripped version to throw on my Daniel Defense mk18 upper on a forum 4 SBR. The myth that you must in form the atf if you have multiple upper of multiple lenthes and swap them out since it’s a “temporary” change. So yes I looked this up and was pleased to read that you can do this as long as you can convert it back into its original form so I keep my mk18 upper with it in my gun bag at the range have just swapping the uppers back and fourth. Let’s get into the genius of the design of this upper, first off it’s much lighter than the previous block 2 uppers for the m4a1. The rail is thin and comfy yet has this robust feeling to it.

Range time, since I can’t afford a vortex 1-6 or night force 1-8, so I installed my Trijicon mro red dot sight. I sent out my target to 30 yards threw my g33 manifyier on the gun so I could zero in my red dot a little bit easier once I had it dialed in it was stack round after round into very nice groupings. When I brought the target back in I was shocked on these groupings. The mid length gas system paired with the dd 14.5 mid length gas system works together for a smooth shooting, and lighter recoil then my fsp block 2 build.

What I used- sure fire 3 prong (sf3p)
Bcm changing handle (waiting for the geiselle airborne to arrive), a colt Bcg, Daniel Defense sbr form 4 lower, geiselle flat face 2 stage 3 gun trigger with the 4.5 trigger spring the 3.5 was to light for me. I know this belongs on a colt lower I’m awaiting a stamp for my colt lower lol. I can’t explain how well the hand guard looks and feels it’s not thin and gritty say like a bcm recce 16 rail, it’s smooth and the hard coat anodizing is hard to scratch up. I highly recommend this upper no matter what form you by!

Wow! Look no further, I really dont know where to start. The write up and YouTube videos led me to believe the rifle would be pretty rough from Colt. A few minutes with a silicon rag and this thing is beautiful!

This Colt military upper is perfect. The pictures on Charlie's website do not do it justice. It is the real deal SOCOM military upper. Very pleased! I waited over a month after ordering it, but Charlie threw in some gifts. I didn't mind waiting on it because these uppers are hard to find, and Charlie has been very pleasant to deal with. Hopefully he can get his shipping issues fixed, but I will not hesitate to buy from him again!
