Allen Engineering Custom AEM5 / AEM22 Collar for Colt M4 barrel
Purchased two of these, one for a 14.5 Colt SOCOM, the other for a 16" Colt 6920. Both were a snug fit but installed and timed with no modifications needed.
If you own an OpsInc Model 12 or AEM5 you will not be disappointed.

These are made for Colt barrels only, so others using another brand will not have the same experience. We tested and had made for the 14.5" Colt as well as the 16" Government M4 barrel, but not other profiles. The tolerances for barrel profiles must match the collar and the collar of the barrel. Glad all worked.

Colt 14.5" M4A1 SOCOM barrel w/ FSB - CAGE code
Absolutely awesome barrel with a clean pinned and welded flash hider. I went with the colt extended and do wish now that I chose another one but it'll be fine. The entire reason I went with this barrel was so that my "m4" would have the right length barrel to put a bayonet on so I ditched my 16" FN barrel and am very happy. This barrel has very thick chrome lining and is even more accurate than the 16" it replaced probably because the socom profile. Thanks Charlies!

Prices are coming down on this product. There was a time when they we just not available.
Then they were available at unheard of pricing. Then we got better availability from the manufacturer, as are other dealers, and pricing and supply became available, and prices have started to come down. We have been reducing pricing every week in 2022. When prices go up, we are slow to increase. My guess is that if customers wait another 6 months, the price will be even less. This is due to changes in the manufacturer's catalog to dealers.
