Educator ET-402
I ordered this to replace one I received from off leash trainer several years ago with previous dog. This one does the job for my 2 2yr old Gsds. Would've been nice to receive the training book that supposedly is advertised in ad but no such luck. Instruction manual for programming 2 dogs is very limited in info. Not a product I would recommend for someone new to e collars.

Educator ET-802 The Boss
I have used the mini educator, dogtra 1900 NCP 2 dog system, and the Boss 2 dog system. The boss is by far my favorite. The range is excellent and my dogs respond to very low stimulation with this training tool. I use the system for hiking and off leash training in the yard and could not be more pleased with it.

We love our Educator Mini. This is our 4th Springer and the first to be trained with the Educator system. Our local dog trainer recommended it after basic and intermediate obedience classes, so we decided to hire her to help train our dog. This has worked wonderfully for our highly energetic dog. It has allowed us to go leash free on walks and even can be worn in the water at the lake.

Hi Richard, there are a few reasons why your dog doesn't respond to the e collar such as an incorrect fit where the contact points are not making good contact with the skin, incorrect contact points ...the standard points won't work well if your dog has thick fur or undercoats (we have special points & pads for this) or maybe you just aren't turning it up enough. The ET 300 Mini is a low to medium power unit and we have low to high power units for tougher/higher drive dogs. You dont have to give up ...we are here to help you. There is a toll-free number on the back of your remote the goes to the manufacturer tech support that is available to you 7 days per week. You can call us over here at Educator Collars or post on the E-Collar Technologies Facebook page and get hundreds of responses from pro trainers.

Educator PG-300 Vibration Collar
Bought this for a traumatized 5 year old 80 pound GSD mix whom I rescued. This dog just looked miserable in his crate at rescue events. He went for over a year and no one wanted him. For some reason I kept going back to him, looking him up on Petfinder... stalking his profile, lol. Anyway, I finally adopted him. He was terrified. Like trembling visually!
Poor boy. On a leash he was a nightmare. Pulling so hard it was dangerous. Not an aggressive bone in his body, he just wanted to smell and see every dog. He would scare people half to death but I knew it was friendly. So I started in earnest to train him. I started with a gentle leader (15.00 on Amazon). He absolutely would not tolerate this head harness. He hated it but we used it for a few weeks anyway. He’d throw major fits, like a toddler.
It was awful. I really started to wonder if he would ever turn the corner on his behavior.
Next up, a Traditional harness. He’s about 20x better than he was, but still a long way to go. We took him to Canton First Monday and he was pretty good because he was very scared.
We passed a harness company that makes ribcage compression harnesses and it was amazing. We bought the harness and a bungee 2 part leash, which is great. This set up took him to 50% over the next month.
Oh, the whole time I am using compressed air (for keyboards) to correct him when we pass other dogs. It usually helped but he was still barking, silent barking (Maybe a Shepherd thing) and jumping at other dogs. Never aggressive, it was always a high pitched play plea. Ok, so next up... a pug life (Joy Ride) harness. This harness is what we use for going to pet friendly stores. It’s great for that purpose and has a seatbelt attachment.
But we were stuck at 50% and I am pretty impatient. Soooo... I went to a plastic prong collar. It worked well and took him to 65%. He was still reactive to dogs and still pulling, somewhat lightly at this point. So, I thought it was time to research shock collars. I decided on the basic one made by Educator. I got it and realized that all I needed was the tone and vibrate functionality. So I sent back the shock one and got this one which allows variable vibration levels, a light and a tone.
It took Andy from 65% to 100% instantly. I was amazed. My neighborhood was amazed.
I can literally walk him off leash with 100% confidence. Of course I do NOT for the most part, but I work with him off leash where possible. I use the tone, usually. I find I rarely need anything because he knows when I put the collar on that he needs to be on his best behavior. I think the shock one may be a better choice for a dog that is more aggressive or stubborn. Andy is sensitive and 100% non-agressive. I am definitely alpha in our pack and he respects me.
Not only has this training helped our working relationship, it has built his confidence exponentially. He no longer cowers when men reach out to pet him. He’s still shy/aloof to strangers, but not scared. Big difference!
He was a risky adoption. He was reported to have guarding issues and attacked another dog in his foster household. With proper leadership and training he has progressed into what may very well be my best dog ever.
Give adult rescues a chance. With proper tools, they can become the best buddies.
He is my 5th consecutive adult rescue with reported behavioral issues. The other 4 proved to be great, balanced, valued pets, as well.

The collar is reliable and consistent. It’s a great tool for most dogs/ handlers when used appropriately. Without a doubt the best brand for an Ecollar.

I love the setup but had to purchase a bungee attachment to make the collar more user friendly. I'm sure my dog appreciated that the collar was easier to put on and remove with the bungee.
