I love E-Collar Technologies. The product quality and customer service are industry best. Note on the Comfort Pad Titanium product … you will have to dial up your correction level as it is not as sensitive as the regular length contact points. The benefit is that it’s more comfortable for the dog to wear for extended periods.

I’m very happy with every product I’ve purchased from E-Collar and highly recommend this company and it’s products to anyone.

Still getting used to using it. Noticed a difference in my dog's behavior when I did. The red [boost] button got his attention when the other button didn't. Being very careful about not letting him get "collar wise".

This e collar has made a world of difference in our sweet Gaelis. She and I are learning how to be our best and bring out the best in each other.

Our 8 month old Labrador is a biter, always has been even after his teething stage was over. Despite all our training efforts and exercise and his gazillion toys to keep him stimulated, he wasn’t stopping with the nipping and it was getting very painful as his puppy teeth transitioned to his very strong and sharp adult teeth. This ecollar is amazing and very effective, even on the very low setting that we have it on. Now we just have to show him the remote and he instantly stops. Instructions and set up were not too bad to follow but I did have to look up some YouTube videos to get a little better understanding of it though. I LOVE that it comes with a light on it! It gets super dark at night where we live and letting him out at night, I couldn’t see where he was at all (he’s a chocolate lab and blends into the darkness lol) so it’s amazing to be able to find him when he’s goofing around in the yard at night instead of doing his business. The only thing I do wish is that it came with a bungee snap buckle collar over the slow buckle collar instead of having to buy it separately, or at least be given an option to pick either or. The slow buckle collar takes too long to get on, especially for overexcited dogs that won’t sit still long enough to get it on.

Overall- I wish I had before and after videos to really capture what a difference this collar has made! After just 2 walks our dog was completely transformed. We’ve been using it a couple weeks now and it’s amazing. We used to dread walking because our dog would pull constantly and walk by a house where another dog was out in the yard and Sadie would lose her mind - it was completely embarrassing! Now, she doesn’t break her heel position at all, even when my kids walk her. Sadie is enjoying her walks and so are we! Next we’ll be working on staying in place. It literally cuts training time down by at least 75%!
The Website- I’m a great shopper and always find the best price. You won’t find a better price anywhere and I love the selection of colors (we ordered blue).
Battery- Wish the battery lasted longer. I do have to charge it daily (maybe I’m doing something wrong?).
This product vs others - We started with a cheaper product to teach boundaries in the yard. That worked okay but the remote was big and difficult to carry, not consistent and what sets this apart is the continuous function the Educator has. The new ways I can gently communicate with my dog without constantly giving harsh corrections allows both of us to be excited about training. I tried it on myself and didn’t feel anything until 12. She started on 7 and now we go between 7-9. Also love the built in flashlight! I would also recommend when the collar goes on, immediately do something fun so it’s associated with that, not seen as a punishment. For us, it’s a walk.
Final thoughts - I would definitely recommend researching how to use the Educator in advance to really get the most out of it. Between the website, included information and following other professionals on social media, there’s so much that you can learn. I follow trainers who charge a couple thousand dollars to board your dog for 2 weeks to get the same results I did, just by learning how to use this product correctly. It’s a lifesaver!

Great customer service - I emailed a question late Saturday night about battery installation and got a reply Sunday morning along with an offer of continued support.

Contacts on my old charger had loosened over time - this new one has nice crisp contact.

I am just getting started with the e collar and it is a little tricky because my dog reacts very differently everytime I use the stimulator to correct her. Some days she can show she feels it at 13, other days (even minutes later) it's 24. She seems like she doesn't like me anymore. I've tried putting it on her and just played with it turned off so she doesn't affiliate it with punishment but that doesn't seem to help. I think in a month I'd have a better idea of how it's working.

I recently bought this for my reactive and high prey drive dog. We've been integrating it into our daily training sessions and the improvement has been noticeable. The variability in intensity levels is well worth the price.

Game changer! Highly recommend this e collar for multiple reasons. I have a female German shorthaired Pointer that is three years old. I have trained her to be my medical alert & psychiatric service dog. She is task trained to do multiple things including alert me to an incoming migraine. She has always been a very confident dog, energetic, playful but focused and calm. Last summer we sadly encountered many dogs that were aggressive & it really impacted her confidence with other dogs. She picked up some protective & reactive behaviors that were very concerning & so unlike her. As my service dog that just can’t stand & I have been trying to find different ways & training techniques that could help modify this behavior & build our communication & her confidence again. It was a little hard to adjust to & highly recommend taking it very slow. I set a baseline/working level number & introduced it by teaching a solid off duty place command. II recommend working with a trainer or someone that has experience with this tool to help guide you in ways to use it best. I have found having it on the C & M setting us best. Started learning just the basics of the remote before going to the boosts. Holding down/continuous is a game changer for training I found.. (holding it down until they do what is asked of them to them release button) I also recommend switching up the placement of the collar on the dogs neck every few hours to help prevent pressure sores. I love the quality, the comfort of the remote in hand, the durability, that it is waterproof, it’s reaction time & that it goes 3/4th a mile distance. Long story short, worth the investment. Best e collar on the market. It’s not a shock collar but uses TENS machine technology (same as stim used on humans by physical therapists for injuries & muscle for repair) it’s not to hurt them but to create a strong communication between you and your dog.

Really didn’t have any issues with ordering the product. It was just kind of hard to figure out which one to get. I think the one I have is probably overkill, but I didn’t want to wish I had a better one after I worked with it for awhile. I think I am not using all the features I have with this model but so far what I’m doing is working well.
