I am very pleased with the collars performance. The instruction booklet very helpful . I was very impressed with how fast I received the collar. Thanks for checking back how I was doing with the collar and if I had any questions.

Educator ET-800 The Boss
"The Boss" collar is excellent but the manual is, at best, mediocre (hence 3 stars). This product desperately needs a better manual AND, at least, a setup video. I suggest re-writing the book and giving the draft to someone who has never used e-collars to proofread. I know there are online setup videos from trainers but a video from "Educator" would be very reassuring because every trainer sets up the collar to their preference and perhaps not what "Educator" intends.
I bought the "Comfort Adapter" for my long-haired dog and it works great but it comes with NO instructions whatsoever. In fact, selecting the correct adapter for "The Boss" collar was difficult because the adapter's ordering page is not intuitive. Also, my order did not include their highly-hyped "E-Collar Training Manual". I received my copy after chatting with customer service--they answer very quickly, though. Overall, the collar is solid and customer service is quick but everything else could be improved.

I absolutely love the educator products. I prefer this shape hand piece due to arthritis in my hands. Fortunately, I seldom have to use the device. I’m expecting to get a new pup and like using the collars for polishing up sluggish behaviors. I only used the sap mode one time, when all three dogs were running the fence line barking. It had to stop now! Other than that one time I have found the vibrate or sound are enough to get the dogs attention, “hey, mom means business. Pay attention” highly recommend. Oh I also took a class on how to properly use Prior to using and warping my dog. So glad I did.

I received my equipment promptly and didn’t I’m use it for a long time - over a year - because I was concerned about using it properly. I finally watched some videos and began to use it. Worked fine and helped with some corrections of reactive behavior. My only concern is that sometimes my dog doesn’t feel the correction due to very thick fur no matter how tight I connect his collar. Other than this I can recommend the product as helpful with training issues
