Thank you for your excellent service. I am new to Hearthstone Farm Beef, but I was impressed with the quality of the meat. I have long exclusively purchased Tide Mill Farm chicken. Chicken was always just chicken until it was Tide Mill. Ordering was simple. Delivery was quick, and packaging was safe. All meat was thoroughly frozen and easily put in the freezer with no fuss. I think this service would be grand at any time, but during a pandemic it has been an essential part of my grocery gathering. Thank you again.

A few months ago we were driving from Dover-Foxcroft to Greenville where we spend half the year. I decided to stop at Hearthstone since it was new. I purchased some chicken livers and a chicken. Farmer Dan suggested the butterflied chicken. I also bought a chuck roast. A few days later I thawed the chicken and cooked it on the grill as farmer Dan had suggested. While eating my wife turned to me and said "this is the best chicken I have ever had". Indeed it was excellent. Sort of forgot what a chicken should really taste like. The next week I thawed the chuck and made a pot roast. Again excellent. I am impressed. Finally the chicken liver were also excellent. No bitter taste. While the prices are a bit higher than at a super market, the quality of the food is so much better. Very impressed. This guy is clearly doing something right. Did not use their shipping so cannot comment on that.

I have not shopped in a grocery store since March 2020. Even when I was able to, it was frustrating to pay top dollar for meats that were subpar. During this challenging time, I wanted to support local farmers. I received my first shipment which was packed well and still frozen, upon receipt. I thought that not having a grill would impact the flavor of the meats. Not the case, at all! My ribeye steak was FABULOUS! My cheeseburger was FABULOUS! My chili was FABULOUS! What an absolutely amazing family business :-) We moved from California to Portland last winter and I discovered Farmer Dan and his wonderful crew while seeking for humanely treated animals from which to eat small quantities of meat; something weve been trying to give up. While in a perfect world Id be a vegetarian, I lack the discipline to do that and finding this magnificent farm with the most extraordinary meat Ive ever tasted has done much to preserve our familys conscience. Any questions are immediately answered, everyone who works there is kind, respectful, and delightful to deal with.
