I have purchased meat from many different “small farms” across the country. None compare to Heartstone Farm! It is the best tasting meat I have found. We have been ordering from Farmer Dan for the last few years. Everything we have tried is so delicious and it feels so good to support a farm that is local and utilizes such sustainable and humane practices. We live on Monhegan Island, Maine and in the fall and into the winter our mailboat/ferry runs 3 days a week. I ordered some ground pork and frozen pies from Farmer Dan and it arrived at the Boatline in Port Clyde on Wednesday, but after the boat left. So, we didn’t receive it until Friday, the next boat out, and everything was packaged perfectly and still totally frozen! Thank you for your great service!

Yes, the meat is delicious. No argument there, but let’s talk about the packaging. I was a little afraid it wouldn’t fit in my freezer. But that worry was for nothing. It was packaged so well, it was still completely frozen upon arrival and fit, with space to spare, in the freezer!

I made my first order on Oct. for ground beef and Ribeye steak. I have not ordered from Maine before. The ground beef is very good but has a little different taste than I have had but great quality. Was waiting until I tried the ribeye to review. It was wonderful, the best I have had for quite a while. Will certainly order again.
