This is a very nice looking knife, with a very sharp blade. To deploy the knife it takes a moderate amount of index finger force, but once it goes, it fully deploys with a loud 'kur-thlok' - meh. Closing the knife on the other hand is not so easy. Lots of thumb pressure needed and closes with a 'kur-thlok' as well - but with some practice I'll get over it. The handle also has some flex if you squeeze the halves together and the pocket clip has some wiggle to it due to its length that transmits to my hand when holding the knife. Overall the ergonomics feel nice, but oddly it just does not have the feel ... I do love the handle and blade design.

This one had a great feel in my hand. The blade design was also what I was looking for. The blade is smooth to open and can be flicked open with the thumb and a little flick of the wrist. The unit locks open with a cool roller lock. Closing the knife is a little tougher and just needs a good amount of thumb force. The handle feels real solid and the hand and not over bearing or too slight. The colour is a bit on the bland side and so is the odd pattering on the handle. I've had the knife for a few weeks now and the thumb lock release is easing up a little. All in all I like this one and has become one of my favourites. You know the one ... the one you always go to, to fondle and toy with ...

I bought this knife last December 2024. I have taken a few days to evaluate it. It is my first Kershaw and I'm impressed by it. The design is very practical for a everyday pocket knife, the color combo is sweet. Ken Onion knives and designs are held in high regard around the world. The magnacut wharncliffe style blade has a super sharp edge, the detent is good and I like the fact it has a secondary optional lock which prevents the blade from opening in rear of the handle. This is a good assisted opening knife. I can see why this knife has been so popular for the past 24 years. Well made knife.

Some assisted knives do come a little tightened, should be easy to loosen with a quarter turn of a torq driver. Would mostly loosen up with some use but if you want it smooth as butter soon you can definitely loosen it.

I recently purchased the Kizer Mini Mystic 154CM PEI/Burlap Micarta from House of Knives.
While the knife has some great features, I encountered a few issues. The opening mechanism is slow and doesn’t deploy as quickly as I expected, though the assisted push-button for closing works flawlessly and is very responsive. The blade is extremely sharp—I accidentally got a small cut on my pinky finger while closing it.
One suggestion for House of Knives: please provide more detailed product descriptions. For example, there was no mention of the blade being stone-washed. I personally prefer a black-coated blade without a stone-washed finish, so this was a bit disappointing.
