Morakniv Basic 511 Carbon Steel Black (M-12810)
These Morakniv knives provide excellent value. While perhaps not as high quality as some other options, they are both strong and sharp and won’t break the bank if it goes missing. Always keep a few of these around.

Great way to think about it, like paring knives you can always use one more so its nice to have options!

CRKT M21-10KSF Serrated (M21-10KSF)
The whole M16 and M21 line are amazing pieces of cutlery. The deep bellied design provides a lot of control and I’m not a fan of serration but it really works with this blade design. Sleek yet sturdy enough for daily work and cross guard on a folder is extremely unique.

You can use the cross guard to open like an Emerson carry! Super fun to play around with, glad you like it Peter!

Finch Knife Co Runtly XL Abyss Carbon Fiber Blue Swirl (RTXL130)
This is not just a bigger Runtly, it’s also more high end. M390 blade, titanium, and the blue shredded carbon fiber, all the materials are premium. The action is still that wonderful Finch action, and it really does fit well in the hand, even more comfortable than the original. To be sure, it’s not cheap, but it’s worth it.

Kershaw Cryo II Blackwash (1556BW)
Sleek, looks cool. Brand new but looks like something handed down from your grandfather. Feels good in your hand, sits low in the pocket. Love it.

CRKT Kith (6433)
I really like CRKT 6433, it’s a great EDC , I’d highly recommend it. Light, holds a good edge, small for easy carry, but big enough to tackle daily needs.

Shun Classic 6.5" Master Utility Knife (DM0782)
My daughter is vegetarian but has only mediocre knives. A tad small in my hands, it is perfect in hers. If you have large hands look to a larger handled knife.
Beautiful in construction. Sharp as a razor. Perfect for veggies. And the chiseled tip allows some Western-style chef's knife actions as well. Someone put some thought into its shape.
