A little more flimsy than I thought, a decent amount of blade play for such a little knife, the fit and finish of the handle is certainly nice to look at, very classy. But the handle has sharp edges. Noticeably around the liner lock cutout. I feel like this was a great misstep. That being said, the price is fair currently. I just think it's so close to being an extremely premium knife!

Im sorry to hear its not as firm as it probably should be, if you have the tools I do suggest trying to tighten that main pivot a wee bit and see if that helps. If you have any concerns that lead you to wanting to return please email us at service@houseofknives.ca though.

Kershaw Grid (2200X)
First off, 5 stars to house of knives, delivered in less than a week and always updating on what’s going on also website is great and I love how detailed the filter can be. Now to the kershaw, the only reason so far this knife gets 4 stars is because of the locking mechanism, part of the body is used as the locking mechanism and I’m not sure how much I really like it compared to a liner lock. I love everything else about this knife, it has great weight for it all being metal, you know you have something in your hand. It has super sharp blade, very smooth assisted opening and contours feel great in the hand. Oh one more thing, the black of the clip is starting to come off and I’ve only had it a few weeks. This knife is always on me so I guess it was bound to happen, maybe…

Learning what you dont like about knives is just as important as knowing what you do like! So now you know liner lock is the right fit so your next knife should be easy to pick out =) Thanks for sharing David!

Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener (WSBCHPAJ)
Very precise BEGINNER'S sharpening kit.
For what it is, it's very sturdy and the central rotating clamp indexes very precisely and positively, so it can achieve a relatively high quality edge.
However, it's definitely not a machinist quality tool, there's backlash in the screw gear that adjusts the sharpening rod angle and there's no way to secure with a pin or whatever so it doesn't move at all.
The actual knife holding clamp itself is very small and many of my thicker knives can't be held securely by the clamp.
From what I know, all of these problems are fixed by the higher end model, but what for this is worth, it's an excellent tool.

Black Tusk Arete 3.5" Micarta Black (ART35M-BLK)
Blade very sharp from the factory, but beware the knife is two toned, black canvas-style epoxy on the left side and stainless steel on the right side.
I didn't expect the knife to be two-toned and was a bit disappointed at first, but the more I used it the more I got used to the knife. The stainless steel on the grip on the right handle scale makes it a lot easier to flip around and manipulate, but it doesn't make the knife slippery when you're holding it in a proper grip.
Overall very surprised at the high quality of the knife!
Would recommend.
