Shiro Kamo SG2 Sujihiki 270mm (G-4308A)
This Sujihiki came out of the box razor sharp. It's balance point is 1 3/4 inches from the choil and feels like it is meant to be in your hand. The fitment of the tang into the handle is excellent. The blade is incredibly thin and straight, and super sharp! The SG2 stainless will keep the edge for a long time, and the nickel damascus finish is very visually appealing. An excellent piece of art work from Shiro Kamo!

Shiro Kamo SG2 Petty Knife 135mm (G-4301A)
Shiro Kamo is one of my favorite black smith/ artists. This Petty's balance point is right where the tang goes into the handle. The fitment of the handle and tang is what would be expected from a Master. The blade is very thin and straight. Mine required a touch up on the stone out of the box, and is now exceptionally sharp! The SG2 steel is capable of a very sharp edge and holds on to it for a long time. This black Nickle Damascus finish makes you want to put it on display.

Shiro Kamo SG2 Nakiri 165mm (G-4303A)
Excellent Nakiri! The balance point is about 3/4 inch ahead of the choil. Excellent fitment of the tang into the handle and feels great in the hand. It was really sharp out of the box. A little stropping elevated the performance. Glides through green onions without distorting them and was excellent at fine shredding lettuce. A beautiful piece of work to look at also! It is easy to see why he was awarded the title of "master of traditional crafts".

Benchmade Presidio II Straight Edge (570-1)
Blade came with a chunk, chip missing out of the blade. Not typical of Benchmade's usual quality. Will seek refund on the knife.

That is something SOG is doing really well these days, a slim carry that still has mega punch!

Benchmade Taggedout (15535)
Really happy with this one!
Blade came very sharp. Probably the sharpest factory edge I have seen on a benchmade.
Perfect centering. Really smooth pivot. Drops shut right out of the box. No blade play. Very even grind.
The handle is very comfortable but the hole on the blade is really designed for utility and not so much for flicking or fidgeting.
The blade itself is very thin towards the edge. I would say full flat grind with a small bevel on the edge. It is deeper and thinner than the Mini Crooked River.
It feels purpose built for exactly what I plan to use it for. Field dressing game and light food prep. Preferably between cleanings.
Awesome knife.

WE Knife Co. Shuddan Titanium Black (WE21015-DS1)
Love the shuddan - it’s classy and simple clean lines - the Damasteel my god sharp like a razor blade - sharpest knife I’ve ever had - the handle is slightly narrower than average and really fits my thick hands nicely - 3-1/2” blade is my ideal size - overall worth the $800 odd dollars very comparable to high end reate knives I’ve had in the same price range - I’d like to put this knife in a display case but it’s better on my hip where I can really enjoy it - also the blade falls shut almost like hydraulics same as any reate I have - 100/% satisfied !

CIVIVI Lumi Burlap Micarta Brown (C20024-5)
Great size for me. I’ve carried it a lot. I was hoping that the blade would be more useful. It just doesn’t have enough edge length for my uses. Would recommend the knife simply for the actuation - fun/cool.

It certainly is a fun one to flip around once you get the hand of a front flip, Thank you for sharing your experience Rob!

For the knife as per se, just perfect. As the previous one that I lost….only down side, price doubled in a few year…

I feel that pain, but the Blur is always worth it! Among great Kershaws, the blur still manages to stand out!

Benchmade Osborne Black (940-2)
Lovely knife, the design is pretty unusual compared to my other benchmade knives, wish it had a spot for a lanyard though…. Oh well can’t have everything.

Benchmade definitely has some range from this to beefy knives, the Osbourne feels like quite the gentleman's knife in comparison for some people =)
