Byrd Meadowlark 2 Black FRN (BY04PBK2)
Great little knife for taking into the bush that I don’t care too much about losing. Incredibly light with good quality steel.

CRKT M16 - Tanto - Partial Serration - Zytel Handle (M16-10Z)
my favourite compact folding knife. bought a 2nd one as I somehow lost my 1st. fits well in pocket, very sharp, versatile - good for everything from cutting label to self defense. A great portable steak knife! Very solid construction, durable

Shun Classic Limited Edition 4" 'Try Me' Paring Knife (DM0757)
Super sharp and lightweight. Out of the box it lacked the teeth to bite in apple skin, but a little honing rod fixed this. My favorite parring knife.

The factory edge is almost too polished for some things. Thanks for the feedback and review.

Black Tusk Rescue Knife Green (RSQ-GN)
Good looking knife. Opening is kind of assisted...the only bad part... i've tried to cut a seatbelt and it was really hard....like...really hard... only have to tried the window breaker now... overall a good knife to let in the truck...

Hi Steve, I am sorry for the late response. I am hoping that this knife has served you well and that you never need the window breaker! I have personally had the opportunity to try it in a controlled environment and it worked great.

Kershaw Factory Special Series Blur M4 Navy Blue (1670NBM4)
This knife feels great in your hand. Well shaped handle and super easy to open the blade single handled. Easy to close one handled as well.
The pocket clip is mediocre design as the knife sits too high in your pocket and is too visible/conspicuous.
Wish the blade had an optional lock-out like the SOG Flash AT. Would make transport much safer.
Blade open-lock has been fine... but design doesn't seem as secure as SOG version and feels as if could release under stress or if release lever accidently tapped. Probably not a concern.
Still... would buy again. Great knife so far.

Love the lock-out feature.
Very comfortable handle.
Open lock seems very secure.
Closing slide works well and again gives the feeling of durable and secure.
Very deep pocket clip is great design... many others have the knife sit too high and too visible.
Almost impossible to close one handled without pushing blade closed on a surface at same time.
Somewhat hard to open... almost requires a flick of the wrist.
Great blade and nice knife. Would definitely buy again.

Global Ukon 3.5" Paring Knife (GUF-30)
Super sharp as expected from global. More on the heavy side. But I don't really like the thin handle, it almost feel like a butter knife handle.
Response from House of Knives
Apr 02, 2022
Hi Eric, We are sorry the knife you chose was not all that you had hoped. Global does have a thinner style of handle. If that is not something you like I recommend you try a Kori or Shun knife. Both are beautiful and efficient and have bigger handles.
