action was a bit stiff out of the box, just needed a day or two breaking in but otherwise a well-built chunky folder. house of knives service is always tops. thank you. never been let down ever since i discovered their online store.

Benchmade Osborne Carbon Fiber (940-1)
Every single one of the good things you’ve heard about this knife is true. It is lightweight, fits perfectly in the hand, cuts things to shreds right out of the box, and is a beautiful piece of knife art in the bargain. Mine arrived quickly and in perfect condition (thank you, House of Knives). I had researched the heck out of this purchase and was a little concerned that the knife would be too small for my hand. I wear at least an XL glove -usually larger- but my hand envelops this knife easily and with supreme comfort. I cannot believe how light and tidy this knife really is. I am delighted with the purchase and I would recommend this knife (and House of Knives) to anyone. Stop waffling and ust buy it: you’ll be glad you did. PK

Benchmade Mini Griptilian 556 - S30V Steel (556-S30V)
Big enough for larger tasks yet small enough for a pocket knife. Blade seems to hold edge really well after sharpening. Love the balance and function of blade deployment and same hand closure. This is a keeper!

Victorinox Swiss Modern Chef Knife 8" Cornflower-Blue (6.9016.202B)
Utilitarian, excellent value, distinctive, lightweight, inexpensive, and edge is easily sharpened. There’s a reason why you’ll find Victorinox knives in pro and home kitchens alike as they are forgiving, easy to use workhorses. Edge retention could be better under extensive use, but quite acceptable at this price point. There’s no difference in the blade between the Swiss Modern, Fibrox or Rosewood handles — the handle is a matter of personal preference. The wide blade is a treat to use if you’re cutting large, deep items like melons.

Extremely sharp and solid, best knife I’ve ever owned and I love it! The blade is bigger than I thought it would be and the handle is light as well as very sturdy. Excellent piece!
