Messermeister Take-Apart Shears 8.5" (DN-1070)
I’ve bought a couple pairs of these shears and consider them among the best of Messermeister’s regular priced wares (as compared to, say, their carbon fibre knives. Very sharp and nice weight, among the most comfortable shears in the hand I’ve tried. Excellent value for the price and definitely recommend.

Wusthof Classic Ikon 7" Santoku Knife Hollow Ground (4176;1040331317)
I have a number of Wusthof classic chefs knives and thought the Santoku would add a new dimension to my collection. The knife works well and is very nicely made. No complaints. I did order a Japanese Santoku (Hazaki) from House of Knives as well and will be comparing the two in daily use. Sooner or later one of the two will be gifted away - at this point I’d have to say I just might keep the Wusthof!

Its hard not to love a Santoku, I wont be surprised if you end up keeping both ;)

Learning Curve

Work Sharp Precision Adjust Knife Sharpener (WSBCHPAJ)
This sharpener produces an excellent edge. I have revived 2 old kitchen knives to shaving sharp. It requires a light touch however. The clamp will not hold it tight enough to accept heavy pressure. That said, once you learn where that limit is, it works flawlessly. Super easy to use and produces super sharp edges. Taking the time to learn how to properly use it will be rewarded. Highly recommend this sharpener.

So true, this sharpener works with sandpaper laws, more pressure is not always better! Glad it was worth the quick learning curve!

Spyderco Reveal 16 Military 2 G10 Brown (C36GPBN15V2)
This is my first Military. Pulled the pin on buying one because it was the 15v version. It's incredible. It's like a large PM 2 with a super blade. It appears to be capable of cutting anything because of the blade and handle shape. Got a lynch deep carry clip at the same time. It's great that house of knives could provide everything, the knife and clip, and quickly. Highly recommend.

Kizer Saturna Micarta CKG Anniversary (99/B)
I don’t have very many folders so I can only compare this knife to what I have and had.
Overall it’s a nice looking knife and built pretty solid. Mine came perfectly centred and opens and closes smoothly. I have no experience with front flippers, but it seemed to work pretty good and it’s easy to flick open with the thumb stud. Fits in the hand nicely and it’s comfortable. The edge needs refining, but it’s sharp enough.

The smoothness and ease with which this knife snaps open is awesome! The futuristic design is nice and fits in my hand very well.
The online transaction was smooth and easy, as was the bookmark / wish list feature.
On my order form I had asked for wrapping, and the store staff did not disappoint.

Kunwu Compadre Diamond Titanium Beadblast (K706C-T2)
This knife is a fairly beefy handful, yet fits in the digits giving agile control. I absolutely love the diamond pattern grip on the titanium handle. Very secure when wet or dry. This is the only Vanax blade in my collection and I am solidly impressed. It holds an edge quite respectfully and is practically corrosion proof. Surprisingly, a little more so than even M-Cut. Thank you HoK!
