SOG Twitch XL Wood (TWI24-CP)
Avoid, I was looking to get another knife to add to my collection and stumbled across this, from afar, it looks GORGEOUS, a nice wood scale finish, good colour and design. I decided to pull the trigger and purchase it or flip the flipper in this case. Fast shipping and it arrived.
I was HIGHLY dissapointed, there are almost no reviews online for this version, only the non xl version. To give you a rundown ill list pros/cons
Pros:
-Great look
-Nice and flat design, not too bulky
-Sharp blade out of the box
Cons:
EXTREMELY hard to open, even with multiple blasts of compressed air and various lubricants I almost burst a blood vessel trying to open with the flipper, the thumbstuds wont budge the blade
The detent is too much even with serious working of the blade to be able to drop close with one hand like the spyderco delica.
The wood while looking nice, feels rough and incredibly cheap, almost like pressed board.
____________
I would avoid this knife in all honesty and plan to return it.

Shun Dual Core 7" Santoku Knife (VG0021)
This knife comes with an extremely sharp edge, and it is great for thinly slicing vegetables. The blade does collect vegetable matter on the sides, when you are finely slicing things such as onions, but this is not a problem for me. I would not chop things with this knife, since the edge is so thin. I love it!

Shun Classic 9" Bread Knife (DM0705)
If you need a bread knife, this is the one. I really love this knife for slicing homemade bread and other loaves. It has such a perfect balance in your hand and slices so easily and clean every time. I now have 6 Shun knives and every time we use them we love them even more.
