This knife is fantastic. The factory edge is nice, but once youve put your own bevel on it, the knife works like a charm. However, the over emphasized belly of the blade makes it difficult to properly utilize the heel of the blade, almost like you need to over emphasize your rocking motion, which makes it uncomfortable. The "non-stick" rain pattern is purely for show. I have not had an experience yet where food does not stick to the knife, but this matters not to me. The handle is by far the best feature! The most comfortable handle ever! And durable too. Thanks Ken Onion & House of Knives, this knife is a deffinte for any unique collector. I also purchased the reverse peeler, to which I haven't used very much. But I am now looking at the new Kraken 3".

Could not be happier.

So far excellent quaity.

A fairly decent sharpener, but would invest in a more high end one to get a better result.

Have used this pan on medium heat with no problems.

I purchased the Emissary after wanting a smaller EDC knife than my Strider SNG for when I'm wearing lighter shorts or a suit. The SNG is an amazing knife but it's profile can be a little bulky. After carrying it for a few months, I'm extremely impressed by the Emissary. The knife's assisted opening is lightning quick, it's extremely comfortable in my hand, and the blade holds its edge very well. Cutting paper, cardboard and plastic I haven't had to put an edge back on the knife yet. I know Benchmade by reputation but this is my first knife I've owned by the company and I'd definitely purchase more. Highly recommended.

Why can't I just leave a 5 star rating? This is annoying. Why do I need to leave a comment? Get your shit together house of knives.

Don't waste your cash on other knives, you'll always be disappointed. Put a bit more money on this one and you'll be satisfied for all your life.

As it was a gift I'm not sure how to review it but I do know the recipient appeared delighted with it!

these knives are great

I've had this sharpener for about 2 months and have put it through the paces with every knife, axe and pair of scissors I could find. Once I watched a couple you tube videos and tried it on some old kitchen knives I felt confident to try some of my better knives. I still have some experience to gain but can't believe how great a job this machine does in such a short period of time. The guy in the NV shop that gave me a demo was very helpful as well. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Very sharp. A pleasure to use, does the job well.

Cookies popped off this sheet easily. It’s easy to wipe clean. I’ve also used it instead of foil or parchment to cool off candied pecans without their sticking together. Well worth the small cost.

An agile and controllable knife but with serious problems. I've owned one for years and still enjoy using it, however the scales cause a lot of blistering after prolonged use. The blade itself takes an edge but dulls very quickly. As with many CRKT knives the ergonomics are nearly great but not quite there. I feel that somewhere in here is a really good knife: with decent steel and a scale revamp it would be really good but if both the blade and the handle have such serious problems (for me at least) I can't give it a higher score, sorry.

Very sharp blade. Nice grip and balance

Very simple and useful in the field to sharpen at the right angle without complicated tools

prefer lock mechanism on back edge of handle, would like exterior to be made lighter with material like spyderco, Best clip ever found on knife, knife will stay on pocket edge and not slip off, best feature of knife

I have a lot of knives and most of them are really dull. I've never got the hang of sharpening them. After butchering the Christmas turkey with a dull knife, I decided it was time to learn how to properly sharpen a knife, and get a decent sharpener. After doing some research, I was surprised to find out that you don't have to spend a fortune or buy a bunch of different sharpening stones to keep your knives super sharp.

After watching some Youtube videos on knife sharpening, I decided to give the Work Sharp Guided Sharpening System a try.
For the price, this kit comes with a lot of stuff. It's very solid and well built. I had a little hiccup when I didn't install the angle guides correctly. Once I realized my mistake and had them mounted properly, it was all good.

The system makes it very easy to maintain the correct angle and uses a combination of diamond plates and ceramic rods in a variety of grits making this the only tool you really need to put an incredibly sharp edge on your knives. You can also sharpen things like fish hooks and arrow heads with it. If you want to take your sharpening to the next level, there's an add on kit with some pieces like a leather strop that allow you to get your blades so sharp you can cut a molecule in half (just kidding, but you can get your knives incredibly sharp).

The Work Sharp works great and is an excellent value for the price and comes with easy to follow and well illustrated instructions. If you want to take some of the mystery and guesswork out of sharpening your knives, spend $75 on the Work Sharp. Just be prepared to have your family and friends dropping by with their knives when they see how well yours work.
