The Dacian is a great idea but falls short. First the sheath. House of Knives shipped me the old style. It’s awful. It’s like a kazoo I won at a fair 50 years ago. Maybe the new one is better but I was landed with old stock. Annoying and disappointing. The fit is stiff and the clip grip on even heavy fabric is weaker than the sheath’s grip on the knife. I imagine seeing someone struggling to open a box with a key, and the pulling the Dacian out to slit the tape and hearing them say “my key will be better than your kazoo for this.” When knife and sheath emerge. Yes it really is that poor.
Now the knife. Metal stock needs to be thicker, maybe 1mm to give me a little more confidence in it. Second the jimping. It needs to extend up the spine to engage my thumb when holding it normally, and same is needed on choil for the forefinger. Also not keen that scales are slightly smaller than the tang like wooden scales which have shrunk.
