does all i need and more. fixed my complete music library. finally all tags and folders are as they supposed to be

Kind of hard to configure, lots of options that arent clear what they do

I used the legacy Windows Media Player to rip music CDs. And because Microsoft no longer interprets the song data I am left with unlabeled songs and albums. So I purchased Songkong. I would have expected a one button choice to fix this but I had to go to AI to figure out how to just find and rename the songs. While there is likely a way to do what I want it is very difficult to figure out. I had to rename the albums manually. I had to actually buy another product to get the song name into the track name.

I have been a SongKong user for about 3 years. I have never had an issue with bugs or instability. That said, there are way to many revisions issued. It's to the point I dread starting the program due the number of revision messages.

I used SongKong when it first came out and although it was back in the early iTunes days, it worked pretty well. Couple of frustrating moments, but sure. I recently moved my library so I wanted to use SongKong again to clean up artwork, metadata and anything else that didn’t transfer. The app is wonderful. The app is glorious. Registration and new upgrade rules are not clear but we worked through that.

Jaikoz does the job. Not in the best possible ways though and for the price you expect a more logical and user-friendly and fast-response interface with a built-in player

I had been looking for forever, for a solution to automatically scan my music library, delete duplicates and broken/truncated files, and keep only the highest quality copy of each track. Doing it manually was out of the question. Finally I found SongKong, which seems to have done the trick! I have not found any issues so far.

My iTunes library starts to add up, counting about 2300 albums. Main source is CD I digitized and some hores purchases. Relyong on iTunes/Music app the operate reliably became an issue, SongKong Pro fills the gap to manage metadata, filenames and album art, and much more. Great buy. It is complex to figure out but it's built with basic end users like me where you can opt to preview changes befores touching your files definitively. Great feature. Online help is well made and helpful.

i bought the jaikoz license and had a handful of issues.
- first of all i have a monster music collection. something like 3000 albums which is about 100k flac files. im not surprised any software struggles with that.
- i used a 256gb ram and 8core cpu vm to run jaikoz to proces my collection
- all i wanted at first was to jaikoz simple fix the metatadata in each flac file as best as it could leaving the filesystem hierarchy in place.
- i failed to do that. i could see that jaikoz fixed metadata nad greatly improved it which is the big goal for my purchase of jaikoz.
- because of the size of the music collection the jaikoz binary crashed multiple times in different spots. at first i could see the java vm was crashing with out of memory exceptsion failing to allocate memory. i kept adding ram to my vm until i got the the max possible of 256gb and i think it finally run on all the files.
- but the filesystem was completely reorganized in a way that even if it makes sense to jaikoz i dont want.
- i dont a bunch of googling and chatgpt to the effect "how can i get jaikoz to clean my metadata but not modify my file hierarchy for my music collection" and after a few tries i gave up.

thats my experience so far. it doenst mean jaikoz is broken. i can defnately see the value of the metadata cleanup and i want that for all my music

its possible that i threw too much data at jaikoz. maybe i should do classicla music albums separate with different criteria for cleanup. thats probably 80% of my music and as is common with classical music not a trivial thing to cleanup metadata wise. and then maybe the popular music separate.

maybe i should do full albums first and then anthologies separate but i gave up before i could try that

i think jaikoz has potential for me. im not an unhappy customer. im just too unfamiliar with jaikoz to make good decisions on the ui for options for cleanup.

if you want to help me, spoonfeed me instructions for the following:
- how to cleanup the metadata with as many sources as possible (monkeybrainz, discogs, acusticid, etc) for a large music collection (3000 albums 100k flac files) that is mostly classical music without affectiong the file hierarchy.

Fixed several problems on my server and on Music already

Grundsätzlich finde ich das Tool klasse. Sehr nützlich ist auch der Report nach Abschluss des Scans. Die Bedienung ist dabei recht übersichtlich geblieben. Einstellungen speichern in verschiedenen Profilen ist auch Prima. Ein paar, für mich, Ungereimtheiten gibt es noch aber das können natürlich auch Anwenderfehler meinerseits sein. BPM scheint nicht berechnet zu werden sondern kommt aus einer Datenbank wenn der Titel auch erkannt wurde. Führt dazu das meist kein BPM Tag gesetzt wird. Album- und Cover Art ist klasse aber ich möchte nur das Front-Cover im Tag gespeichert haben, alles andere gerne in ein Verzeichnis eines jeden Albums speichern (nicht Zentral für UPnP).

Jaikoz is way more than what I needed, but what it did do was great.

I'm primarily an Audio Ranger user, but I needed something a bit more robust to do a specific thing. I searched around and grabbed a copy of Jaikoz. I bought it because I needed ID Tags from from places other than MusicBrainz, since it didn't have the tags for the music I have.

It turns out I still had gaps in my music library that weren't getting tagged fully (not in Acoustid or Discogs) so I had to script a solution specific to my use case with Shazam API, ACRCloud API, and a database parser.

Now, as far as my standard music library, Jaikoz is way more than I need. it's got a lot of bells and whistles but all I needed was a file tagger, file renamer and that's it.

What I like about it is that it's Cleaner than MusicBrainzPicard and can grab ID's from multiple sources.

I ultimately ended up using MusicBee to simplify my searches and edits. I'm too afraid of screwing something up in Jaikoz.

I still can’t get it to override the current ID3 tags and Genre’s I assigned when using a MP3 tag program a few years ago. I have about 800gb of just music files on my hard drive and was looking for a simple solution to getting correct tags before uploading to ITunes and or media monkey

It fixed the meta data on damn near all of my music automatically. All I wanted. I have tried for years to get an app that just works and this does. I may let it fix my song names next. TY!

I have used Jaikoz for years however, this version saves to artist folders by default. The folder I load does NOT include folders, just the songs. I can’t figure out how to save back to my original file without Jaikoz creating and placing my song files into artist folders. YOUR HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. Thanks

I am forced to use an older version of the program- 12.3 as the most recent update- 12.4 does not work properly. It says I don't have permission to update the pertinent files, despite the fact that all other file modification programs/taggers, including the 12.3 version work perfectly.
