PAS3 is almost too much. This is my go to. It’s a bit much. My cadence is pretty fast and I average 16 mph. I did 15 miles in the wind today and it forces you to crank,but good exercise for this 70 year old body.
PAS 4 5 are of no value
The speedometer is pretty accurate
It would be great to be able to program your PAS. They are mapped ok but I would have 3 a bit lower! 2 a bit more and not have 4 5 at all
The throttle is great but I don’t use it.
The belt drive is so smooth I don’t notice it
The stock seat is the first thing to go. I am still shopping
The smooth tires are fine. I am getting used to fat tires.

GAME CHANGERS!

I ride my Sur Ron everyday. I put on the supermoto tires and swapped the sprocket for the 52 tooth sprocket I can hit 40mph (I weigh 265lbs) and the torque is Crazy. I can pop it into eco mode then flick it into sport and pull it up into a wheelie no problem…

I wouldn’t recommend the 42t sprocket unless you only want top end. The 48t stock sprocket is a minimum. The 52t ends up being a 58t with the smaller 17” wheels that come on the supermoto.

This is an amazing electric bike. I use it more often to get around than my car. I weigh 260 lbs and this bike is strong And durable. This bike in stock can handle my rider weight easy & I have never had a problem at all since I purchased it. I had my eye on this bike for years and finally came to my agreement. Now I am truly happy with my purchase & not disappointed at all. I take it daily to the gym. Never have to worry about parking. Say peasy.

The Luna Eclipse is a knockout win at this price point. The marriage of the carbon drive with a folding frame makes a ton of sense, because the overall package is rugged, portable, convenient to store, and will not mar your clothes/trunk with chain grease.

Riding is a joy. The right grip is equipped with a twist throttle, giving the machine a hint of motorcycle flavor. I believe the max motor speed on a flat is 25 MPH, but torque is plentiful (even going uphill). The fixed gear ratio on the belt drive is such that you may not want to pedal faster than 15 MPH, which implies three use cases: PAS 0-1 for exercise, PAS 2-5 for effortless riding, and max throttle for fun and commuting. The Eclipse feels very dynamic and has a lot to offer in each of those speed ranges.

The full suspension feels great through the fat tires. Braking performance is more than adequate. The frame folding mechanism is quite sturdy and is easy to operate. Of course, I would have welcomed upgrades such as hydraulic brakes, a more comfortable seat, and knobby tires, but these are all very doable owner mods.

In researching my purchase, I found that the market is flooded with similar products. I think this one stands out because of its BMX inspired aesthetics. The folding handlebars used by competitors look giraffe-like and awkward. The cool handlebar setup here gives an inviting, almost nostalgic feeling. Overall, the design language is modern yet retro, with no obvious compromises being made. On first glance, you might not recognizes the Eclipse as an e-bike, which adds to its stealthy charm!

This bike is definitely designed for men. I have the small and am an average sized woman (5'6"). I barely have enough stand over. The lack of gears means really steep hills are not an option for me. Somewhat steep hills are doable. The display is impossible to read. I can't tell what assist level I'm on without shielding the display from the sun. It sounds like the Bofeili mid drives fail easily, not warrantied for a year without horrifically expensive warranty coverage just to get a 1 year warranty, difficult to source, and fairly expensive to purchase at about $360. I love the bike but will likely need to sell it sooner rather than later. It is impossible to find an under 40 lb ebike with belt drive and mid motor. If they came up with more standardized motor and step through I would upgrade in a heartbeat.

Love the bike! The shifting takes a little to get used to if you’re accustomed to regular derailleurs. It’s a little slower to shift, and you really can’t shift under any load at all. Assembly was relatively easy, but I have a fair amount of experience with bikes. My only problem was that one of the brake levers had the nipple cross threaded, and I stripped it trying to reinstall it properly. My local shop ended up having to replace the lever for $45. They also installed fenders and a rack for me. I’m commuting 11 miles each way 2-3 times per week. The bike makes the trip much faster and easier, and the battery seems sufficient for the full 22 miles, although I tend to keep it on level 1 (~18 mph pedaling easily) but punching it up to 2 or 3 on the hills. I’m a total convert to the ebike!

Very happy with the bike overall. To get home from one direction, I have to ride 1.5 miles up a 7% average grade. I can just manage the steep parts in first gear, level three power. I had to do a minor adjustment on the hub because of an occasional clacking noise which I attributed to gears not being exactly lined up. Still have to rest it to be sure. The adjustment was a cinch. My only complaint is the “Tiny OLED Display” - it is tiny and almost useless when riding. If the sun is out it is nearly impossible to read; with sunglasses on, it IS impossible to read; and in shade, while you can read mph, the power level number is still hard to read when riding. The battery icon gives an approximation of the remaining voltage. Should come with the Mighty Mini 500c
