Amazing bike! Pretty much ride it everyday, whether it's on the track I have in the front yard, or cruising down the road in the neighborhood, it is just fun to ride. It is ridiculous how good the balance point is on the Sur Ron X, your center of gravity is just locked in while in corners. You can just flow threw corners and ruts with ease. Easy charging and battery life is very good, it lasts longer than you would expect, except maybe if you're going full throttle the whole time not letting off. Highly recommend getting one of these, have not been disappointed yet!

I'm writing this review from the perspective of using my BBS02 mid-drive for a few months after initially relying on a overvolted 500W front hub motor. For reference I am also using a 2011 Giant Boulder MTB. The bike took to the BBS02 without any problems and I can use all my gears with the stock 48T chainring without dropping the chain.

In short, for anyone on the fence on whether to get a mid-drive or front hub, get the mid-drive!
After using my BBS02, I wish I had just started out on one instead of initially going with a front hub. The power delivery and torque will put a smile on your face every time.

I use my e-bike conversion almost every day to commute to work which has some hills. I go riding also on my lunch breaks to explore the area and even with my front hub I was always a little worried about some of the steepest hills and therefore never attempted them. With the BBS02, there is no hill in my area that can't be climbed easily. Even with a 48T chainring up front and a 34T cog in the back, I can climb the steepest hills in my area without pegging the BBS02 at max wattage! That being said, I still want to get my hands on a BBSHD someday. The allure of mid-drive power is addicting. All in all, I am thoroughly impressed and happy with my BBS02 kit that I purchased. Happy riding!

Lunacycle shipped bike fast, no problems. Bike runs great and is very fun. Looking forward to buying upgrades from them this winter. Thanks a lot.

This was a super sturdy piece of metal that happens to be a sticker I thought it was going to be like a real sticker helps keep out of trouble

The Sur Ron has exceeded expectations in almost every way. I ride a full size KTM EXC-f 350 normally and this has been so much fun to ride a poewerful yet light and nimble machine that doesn't break the bank. Get one now!!!

So far so good super smooth performance very happy with this !

This kit (effortlessly) converted my Radwagon 4 into a hill climbing billygoat! I had no issues whatsoever, but did do a bit of browsing on youtube and in the forums before ordering which pushed me to order bottom bracket spacers and a battery cable specific to my setup. I use it daily to run my 8yo back and forth to school in SF.

Best money I’ve spent in years! I put the Bafang on a speacialized fuse for hunting use! Took a little fabrication to get everything just right but absolutely is as good as the $8k bike on the market for just a portion of the price! If you are on the fence of buying an E bike for hunting use go buy yourself a $200 bike and purchase the Bafang with a 52v battery and you will not regret it!!

Proper strength and looks great.
