This new LUNA seat was perhaps the most waited for modification to my SurRon X. I ride mostly mountain bike trails on economy mode and my rear had been giving out before the battery! Now, I must more carefully monitor the remaining charge rather than relying on a sore rear. This is a beautiful well built comfortable seat!

If you spend time riding in the seated position this upgraded seat is a must. Easy to install. My backside gives it 5 stars.

Just a spare

I am 60 years old. I became out of shape over time due to the usual things life throws at you. I tried to jump-start my youthful attitude by taking up biking again. I started by building a DIY adult trike with a BBSHD from Luna Cycle. I built a trike first because I still had an 'old man' mentality, but the power of the BBSHD soon made it clear that a trike just wasn't going to cut it for me. I couldn't afford an expensive mountain bike, so I modified a Walmart Maxair 29er. I quickly started developing a more active-minded attitude, and biking became my 'thing' again.
Something was still missing, though. I had given myself a necessary attitude adjustment, but just like 'youth' everywhere, I wanted more get-up-and-go in my riding fun. That's when I discovered the many possibilities for modifying my bike at Luna Cycle. The stock 48 tooth chain-ring that comes with the BBSHD is fine for XC or hauling loads, but I wanted that PLUS speed. After using Penoff's programming utility to max out my settings with the programming cable I got from Luna Cycle, I ordered the Luna One 36 tooth chain-ring and the Luna Eclipse face and several Eclipse chain-rings to give myself as many options as possible.
Recently, I upgraded my bike to a 2021 Schwinn Axum, but the BBSHD and other parts from my old bike were just transferred to the Axum. Now I look at my bike as a good friend who has my best interests at heart with a message of hope and health, and Luna Cycle has helped me make that possible every step of the way. As soon as I submit this review, I am off to the trails for some July 4th fun in the sun !

These kits are usually $130+ and are made of the thicker material that adds weight and bulk to your bike.
This kit is super light weight and it looks and feels amazing!!! Would 100% recommend the instructions are in the
description and you really don't need more than that but they also include a sheet inside the wrap with a picture of what piece goes where exactly
so it's very hard to mess this up. Thank you LUNA!!! You guys ROCK!!!

Purchasing this bike made it very easy to sell my Honda dirt bikes. It handles like a mountain bike and has awesome torque. Tons of fun. I’m probably going to order another one soon!

I am going to give this five stars? Why? I called Luna, nervous about stripping seat bracket bolts, talked to Joel. He suggested heating up the bolts to melt the locking goo of sorts that may be in there. What a great guy. Worked well. The seat lifter is a great addition to my bike, I'm 5' 11" Negatives: When it comes to the locking mechanism, it seems the calculation of screws, screw length and nuts was a bit off, but I just re-used what I had. The value of the latch cover so far, guys, is simply the tongue that sticks out farther than the metal extender provided with the original kit. Nothing else. I couldn't figure out how to install it -- but after seeing photos, it is a not a very good design. Install the larger part under the battery cover, which is supposed to help hold down the battery (?) Yikes. My cover wouldn't shut, so I tried to trim the "box" and oh, boy. That plastic shatters into a million pieces. I am fairly sure it would shatter on it's own in time? At least there was effort to solve two problems here; extend a bit to just cover the locking mechanism and also hold down the battery. The design fails on both parts. Keep at it,though, Luna. But you get five stars. Your support staff and people like Joel make a WORLD of difference.

Have not use yet. The programming that came on the bike works great. X-1

I went to El Segundo to pick up the bike rather than having it shipped. I wanted to see and ride it before I made a $5k investment. This is the most AWESOME bike I have ever seen! Powerful, sleek, smooth and more bike than I ever thought you could buy for the price tag! To top it all off, when I came in, Kyle took very good care of me ,and even adjusted the shocks to my bodyweight. Not only was he super knowledgeable, but he was incredibly helpful and provided me with a full bike shop experience!!! I could not be more impressed with Luna Cycles; I will certainly buy from them again! Thank you!

I needed a spare charger for my 36v Brose motor ebike. The dealer I bought the bike from went out of business, and the chargers I could find online were $200+. My solution was to buy this cable and a 36v 4amp Luna Mini Charger, and just solder the extra connector that came with the charger to this cable. I was sure to select the correct polarity, and it surprisingly worked great. I didn't do anything with the extra data wires in this cable, other than cutting them short so they wouldn't come into contact with the power wires.

Easy and stealth bike bell! Loud and easy to install!

Arrived in 6 days, well packaged. Looks like a well made charger with adj. charge rate, 80%, 90%, or 100%. I would have preferred the advanced model with the meter and adj. amp settings, but were out of stock when I needed it. It comes with a Good instruction booklet with helpful info. on charging

I was taking a trip to Park City and wanted an electric bike to ride while there. Luna built my bike in a week and shipped it straight to Park City. The bike arrived in perfect condition. All that was needed was to install the pedals and adjust everything to fit. What I noticed first about the Galaxy was that if felt like a bicycle not a tank. My wife ordered a E-bike from Costco. Two rides and we returned it but I at least had a chance to try a factory built BBS02. It was less expensive but would be twice to cost of the Galaxy after upgrading the forks and brakes and seat and derailleur and you would still have the BBS02 and a run of the mill frame. I ordered mine with shifter cut off which I like and no brake cut offs. I was a little concerned about the no brake cutoffs but I realized that I never owned a motorcycle that cut off the power when I touched the brakes. Anyway, I found they were not so necessary and you the cadence sensor cuts the power in a second if you stop pedaling. Sometimes its nice to have the power on and just tap the brakes to maneuver. Back to Park City. Our condo was in Upper Deer Valley, about 1100 feet above town so any ride had a 4 mile 1100 foot climb at the end. One day I took a ride on the Rail Trail to the High West Distillery to see if the battery would hold out. The 18 miles out was no problem being downhill but the way home was 2200 feet up and into a 20 MPH headwind that day. I made it home but not much juice left so that is about what you can get from the battery(36 miles out and back with pedaling). There is one perk for being over 65 in Park City, you can ride E-bikes on Singletracks (No throttle and 25mph limit). The Galaxy is a little heavy for bombing narrow single track but manageable with practice even though I did hang up the pedals in narrow uphill rock gardens. The bike is a big help towing the Burley with the Granddaughter by the way. Back home in SF the Luna Programming gives the throttle full power in any pedal assist level so when I take off from a stop signal I can bump the throttle to get some speed quickly and it helps keep up with surges in traffic. Around town here with all the hills and stop and go I use about half a battery in 25 miles. Pretty happy so far, I just have to order a replacement speed sensor and the two pedals I broke.
