What an awesome ride this is! After riding for just about a year I still enjoy it more than my electric ft bike ( its just slow ) I am a big guy 270lb it can just about throw me off, can only imagine a small person!

cons, the keyfob thing to turn it off. THought it was off it wasnt, drained the battery dead

I love this bike❤️ It is beautiful and it runs great! I can’t wait to hit some trails. There have been no problems with it at all. Just pulled it out of the box, charged the battery, tightened up all the screws and we were off to the races. You could compare the X1 to a Trek Rail because that is what we did.
I have two kids and we like to ride.. Before we received the Luna, we needed a third bike. We already have a couple of Voltbike Enduros. Those are excellent bikes too. So we needed to rent another bike for a trip.
Phat Tire Bike Shop rents Trek Rails for about $100 a day.
So we rented one for a couple of days and it was really nice.
It had an Aluminum frame and 29in wheels.
So when we got the X1 we had something nice to compare it to. The X1 has a carbon fiber body so it may weigh a little less and it has 27.5in tires so they may cut back a little quicker. There would be many pros and cons but before we start splitting hairs, let me stop you right there.
The Trek Rail costs $7,500! Ok you guessed it, you could have two X1s for that price. The two bikes both performed well. No complaints with either of them.
But like I said the X1 only costs 1/2 what the Trek Rail costs.
I have seen a lot of press on the Trek.
I think we have just found a major value and this bike is gorgeous!

This is a nice compact controller. I replaced a brain power 800w controller with this one and it actually seems to have a little more power than the old one. Considering the size difference I'm very pleased. If you're going to use it with a throttle and NO display like I did here's what I did to get it to work... Try this at you're own risk. I will not be held liable for any injury or loss that comes from following these instructions... This info took me a few days of searching the web to get so I though I'd share it and hopefully save someone the trouble I went through to get it... I'm going to explain the plug color/ amount of pins for each connector and then what each individual wire for that connector corresponds to... The options/wires I did not use are just my best guess based on what I found online so you should do you're own research if you need any of them.. I aThe longest/ biggest wire is the 5 hall wires plus the 3 motor phase wires and a white wire that I believe is either a temp or rpm input (this wire does not have to be connected for controller to work unless you're using features other than the bare minimum to make controller work with throttle like I did).. The next connector is a yellow 3 pin connector that I believe is the input for the pas sensor.. Again I did not use this as I was wiring mine for a twist (hall) type throttle... Next you have red and black power wires for battery power in.. next there is two red 2 pin connectors for you're brake cutoffs.. The next one is a green 5 pin connector inside that there is yellow and green rx and tx communication wires for the display, a ground for the display and a red wire that just loops to the next connector down the list. Those 4 are not needed if you're not going to use the display. The last wire on the green connector is blue and it's the one you have to put full battery power to in order to power on controller.. This is where I put my on off switch at. The last connector is black with 6 pins. Red, white and black are you're throttle wires. Blue and green just loop to the red wire from the previous connector and yellow is full battery power.. this is the one I used to get voltage for my on off switch going to the blue wire to power controller on...

Shipping took ages but can't blame that on luna since it was in Fedex hands. Bike feels absolutely amazing. Only complaints are that I guess a Silica bead pack exploded during shipping and they were all over the place and that one of the bolts holding the peg bracket on had so much loctite on it that the bolt stripped (other 3 bolts were fine just 1 felt like it was welded in there) when trying to remove the bracket to install a pedal kit so now its stuck with pegs and not ebike road worthy for now (guess i'm still walking an hour and a half to work) and have to buy more stuff to remove a stripped bolt. Other than that the bike runs great and am happy with the purchase.

This bag would be perfect for my new 52V 20A battery,,,except I am a little hesitant to take the battery out of the PVC case that it came in,,,because of warranty issues. Once I feel in the clear to take it apart,,the bag will become the new home for the battery. The bag is just a little bit big,,,because my odd shaped triangle is quite small as triangles go. I bought my hot rodded ebike used,,,so I was at the mercy of the dimensions that someone else had researched!!!
I plan on getting the new 52V from Luna once I have saved enough,,,and make it my permanent battery
I am going to get the smart charger from Luna,,,so I may control the percentage and the charging rate,,,,this is the company to go with for batteries and accessories,,,,I am soooooo happy that there is an American company providing a place for us ebikers

I'm really enjoying my X1, it's so much fun to have bionic legs. Seriously, that's what it feels like. Luna seems to have addressed issues voiced on forums, they have been very responsive. My bike was assembled well, all fasteners torqued to spec. And blue locite applied. The 152mm cranks take some getting used to after thousands of miles on a road bike. I think 165mm would be a great option for some riders. The bike is surprisingly nimble considering the weight. I dont use any power assistance on flat terrain. Haven't gone higher than PAS 3 except to find out the feel of all that power. The Sram Eagle SX drive train shifts smoothly and crisply. Brakes are strong and do the job well. I'm 67 years young and this is the best toy I ever got!

Well made. Improved torque and works with Luna CR80 sprocket adapter and upgrade hardware. Improved battery range slightly due to the motor doesn’t have to work quite as hard with minimal loss of top speed. Recommend for rough and hilly trails.
