Love my Sur-Ron

This is first ebike purchased. I can’t believe it took me this long to join the ebike’s world. I’ve been missing out! I absolutely love my new Sur Ron XX. Hey I can’t afford a Tesla yet but this is my Tesla electric bike. Thank you Luna Cycle!

Love it!!!

The XX has incredible torque and acceleration, while maintaining around the same top speed as the X. In my opinion this is optimal especially for the stock battery because one does not need to go much faster than 50mph on one of these bikes.
While it is torquey, it maintains smoothness along the power range and does not want to rip out of your hands. Another plus of the XX is, it wants to keep pulling up the hills where the standard X almost feels like it shifts into a low gear and chug-a-lugs up the hill. My only complaint is that the battery percentage indicator does not update in real time. But I’ve been told the BMS will learn the battery better as it completes drainage cycles. Other than that, the XX is amazing for the price!

I’m excited to have this because I hope it will save me trouble in the long run. Only reason for the three stars is that the adhesive on it wasn’t the best. I tried putting it up above the controller (out of sight and out of the way) but noticed it coming off slightly after a few days. I knew dust would get back there and make it even worse so I peeled it off and intend to put it back on with stronger adhesive...

Within the week of receiving my first Luna purchase, (a Galaxy fatty ebike) I ordered a bbshd for my old Kona Kikapu. Installation is currently ongoing, but it’s a fun winter project and the installation was a breeze. Definitely recommend this product if you’re thinking about a conversion.

This is my first ebike. I used to ride a ton of single track, but two knee reconstructions and three kids later on a beach in FLA I rode a fatty ebike rented by my FIL. Instantly I remembered how much I love biking. I knew I had to have one. After a ton of research I settled on the Galaxy. I was not disappointed. This thing is a blast!! It crushes Kentucky singletrack! I’m tough on equipment (like really tough) and I put her to the test. Only one small issue after a few days of hard riding. The speedo sensor got flipped onto the wheel magnet and popped the magnet off the rim. Easy fix and I’m pretty sure I stepped on it in a particularly (tooth rattling) rooty section. Other than that, I deem her bombproof. I’m 6’4”, 210 and did I mention I put her to the test? I did not get the Ludi, but she does not want for torque, and I can’t go much faster on the trails anyway. The components on this bike are outstanding. Check around, this deal is impossible to beat. From the fork to the drive to the rubber, there are few better bikes even available. Much less at the price point. Add that to the proven reliability of the bbshd mid-drive systems and you have a bike that is light years ahead of any “competition”. Luna was a pleasure to deal with. My only issue was the lack of availability of the 500c display. No worries though, I’ll put one on the ludi bbshd (motor and controller only) that I stole from Luna during their Black Friday sale. Putting that beast on an old Kona Kikapu! (Stoked!) If you’re looking for a fatty ebike, (or any ebike) look no further. Get a Luna and get out there and have fun!!

I like the computer for the most part. The size is great. The functions are spot on. Unfortunately the mounting hardware is fragile. I have purchased four for my ebike builds. Three of them have broken where the bolt screws in. I didn’t overtighten any of them. They were each fine for about 6 months. They have all fractured in the same place. I just don’t think they are durable long term. I have them mounted with black duct tape now. Even so, I would purchase them again. I’m hoping they are more durable in the future. Five stars for functionality. One star for long term durability. So a generous three star rating is honest.

Great product! Fast turnaround on the order.

There a lot of torque with the BBSHD, this is my second motor I've purchased for second bike build. I love this motor!!

I have ordered two Sur Ron’s and they are amazing. So much fun! Luna was good to work with but their communication is lacking when I went to pick one of the bikes up at the shop they do not tell you there are specific days and times you can pick up your bike. Be sure to call before hand or you may be making another trip back.

A must for the suron! Thanks luna!

Luna has alot of upgrade parts in stock!

This is my first Sur-Ron product and I am overall very impressed. The build quality of the parts is fantastic and this bike has a lot of bang for the buck. The reason for rating 4 out of 5 stars is due to the lack of literature to get the bike safely assembled and on the road. For someone that isn't mechanically inclined or familiar with building bikes, this could be a problem. My particular bike also had quite a few bolts that were very loose so I had to comb the entire bike and properly torque each bolt.

I'd definitely recommend buying one, just take your time assembling and use tutorials available on some of the e-bike forums for tips and tricks.

The Sur-Run was a awesome way to introduce my kid into motorcycles and is also a perfect toy for me and the entire family. Tons of fun! Thanks Luna!

Its perfect for me.waiting on a bbso2 to get in stock

Bought 2 Sur Ron X's for the family. Absolutely love them! Great for the desert and fire roads.

Great bike at a great price. I’m an older guy so I won’t be doing crazy stuff with it. Will change the bars to ones with more backsweep and eventually a Luna BBSHD kit. Buy one, you’ll be happy

Wish I could get more

Good product, good shipping, good support, good people with timely response.
That adds up to good.
