With this assembly i was able to get the best chainline and gearing combination for the BBSHD mid drive unit that i mounted on my 2010 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp. Sprocket and spider looked to be very well made and the combination makes for some very smooth shifting. Gerry N..

At 71 was ready for a little more adventure. In my 20's road a very modified Western Flyer 'paperboy' delivery bike to La Paz Mexico. Now i needed some help and a bit more 'comfort'; Thank You Luna. Transitioned from a nice around town E-bike to a full suspension Specialized to which i installed a Bafang BBSHD mid-drive kit purchased from Luna Cycles. So much information on their website supporting install, though i should have read more of it. The kit install for me was almost a slam-dunk. Was nervous at first, but turns out most connections can be made using color and pin count as a guide. Few 'special' tools are needed and Luna offers them at a fair price. I purchased elsewhere before the purchase of the kit. Two minor issues i had to deal with were chainline and brake cut-out. I was more interested in hill assist than speed so alignment with the larger freewheel cogs was important. The 30 tooth chainring initially purchased would not allow enough offset for me (Luna's install hints suggested this might happen). A transition was made to Luna's Eclipse face and 42 tooth chainring sprocket. With the shim kit i got a much better chainline and about 3mm chainstay clearance. The second hic-up was attaching the brake sensor to my Avid Elixir hydraulic brake levers. Ended up making a sheetmetal bracket. Attached it to the lever body with silicone adhesive then used epoxy to position a smaller cylindrical magnet to the lever, worked great. The shift sensor is great and makes for very smooth shifts. The project was really very straight forward using the Luna website information links. Prices were competitive, items shipped promptly and were well packaged. Went with basic 750 watt and stock drive gear. Smooth, strong and very quiet even with stock gear. Had to trim ends off a 48 volt, 17 amp. Retention Dorada battery pack i had, in order to fit inside the Specialized frame. Happy customer. Did not have a need to make any contact with Luna. Gerry N

This is absolutely the best way to keep your motor where it belongs. You should definitely get this as part of any conversion

Best Toy I ever bought So mush FUN.....

good shipping time, great product

Got me into dirt biking again after selling my gasser 5 years ago. Realized e-dirt bikes have finally arrived. Chose Sur Ron because of the Luna connection. There are 2 types of dirt e-bikes. Smaller more nimble machines that weigh LESS than rider. And the larger full rigs that are HEAVIER than the rider. Coming from mountain bikes and bmx, I try to keep my fitness level up still today with mtn biking... but this has allowed me to pepper in another 2 hours of riding into my day. Having motorcycle torque on a nimble bike with bmx dexterity is the appeal on these Sur Rons. A. Maze. Ing. I feel it will be Important for replacement parts to be easily available in the future for a good rider experience and for continued overall market leadership like a Honda success. Bravo Sur Ron. Bravo Luna!

This wrench is a must-have when doing the conversion makes things so much easier and for the price you can't beat it less aggravation when changing over

Soooo happy! Hard to believe it was as good as advertised. If you ride on a dirt track you can give any 110 motorcycle a run for the money. If I ride wide open on the track I really only get about 20 miles total ride time. That is flat out flying though! Fast to recharge and easy to clean. Hopefully years of fun to come from this cool little machine.

Shipping is very good. Customer service representative answered all questions.

Seems well made and I like the logopurchased by accident so I actually haven’t used it 😳

Good customer service, the sprockets are decent quality. Only issue I have with it is the lack of viable different sizes for the chainrings. I had to make my own to work with my setup, and the people I texted at Luna weren’t all too helpful, they just kept telling me “I wouldn’t do that.” I’m guessing it was just a no liability standard response or something...

This is an amazing product. Have purchased a few of them, they never disappoint. Just make sure you understand what you are doing and the limitations of your bike before changing out the stock controller.

Fun and good product. Installed without a glitch.

I purchased and installed the short crank arms, putting them on my X-1 Enduro bike. The problem that needed to be solved was the continued striking of rocks and outcroppings while riding. With these shorter crank arms, about 90% of the strikes are now avoided. My rides are much more enjoyable. These crank arms are a "must have" for the X-1.

Well, im one of those people with a segway x160... aka sur-ron. And i must say i am happy to be able to upgrade my top speed by a few miles per hour by swapping the stock 58T sprocket to this 48T. It fits perfectly and with a new 108 section chain the bike actually rides smoother on road. Yet for offroad trailing ill suggest the 58T or higher for that ripping toque. A solid gear, thanks Luna for the good deal.

A definite must have when changing over to new forks and comes with the small tube to knockout the races good price good quality recommended

Helps my surron on big drop and jumps. Thanks luna

🤩

I have been purchasing e bike stuff from Luna for a few years .
My first e bike conversion has turned out great with a few glitches ....
First of all I am good in hindsight to choose Luna since I live near Whistler B.C.
With exchange rates and shipping sticking with Luna has been problematic .
Your staff has tried to help a few glitches . My 1 st install and looking back it was better than expected...
I have replaced a few parts and there will always be wear and tear...
Sorry to say but the standard shipping of a replacement speed sensor was (u.s.d. 15$)
Please take the time to respond ..
Luna carries great products and al in all I am a happy customer
