so far, this kit has met expectations but it did come with a crappy freewheel that needs to be replaced as it is warped (not true) sending the chain off every now and again. Otherwise, if you are mechanically inclined, follow the install videos, wire everything up and have fun!

Great product. Weel-made and lightweight.

I love this bike . It’s very well made and tons of fun . It’s great for me as I wasn’t sure if I’d be comfortable with a full size motorcycle. People stopping to me to ask questions can get annoying though.

I like the final product, but had quite a bit of trouble getting all of the components for the installation kit. I think it ended up taking 5 shipments, over ~3 weeks to finally get all the installation hardware, speed sensor, brackets, cranks, etc. Product support was nice and helpful, but it would be very much preferred for everything to show up in the first shipment.

Once I had all the pieces, installation went pretty well. I installed it on a 1991 Diamondback Apex. I needed to sand down a plastic barb inside the bottom bracket from a cable guide, for the motor to fit in the bottom bracket. I needed one of the thinnest shims for the motor to clear the chain stay. My derailer cables ran along the frame where the motor should have rotated up against the frame. I ended up removing the front derailer and it’s cable, then using a rubber bumper between the motor and frame, to make clearance for the rear derailer cable. I cut the battery wires from the motor and soldered the correct connector on it for the Luna Wolf battery I purchased with the kit. It would be nicer if it came with the correct connector from Luna. The battery mount wobbles side to side a lot more than I would like. I will have to look into securing it better. The system is working pretty well, with a good chain line, and nice gearing for on the road. ~35 mph max on the flats, and good hill climbing. For off-road I’d like smaller than the standard 46T chainring. I purchased the programming cable and have enjoyed fine tuning the controller settings to my liking. I’m not pulling power wheelies, but I am enjoying the final set up. It makes pedaling optional climbing the steep ~250 ft hill up to my house from the beach.

Solid pedals. Some of the screws got smashed pretty quickly. That's probably more on me. Not quite quality I see in my friends stamps but pretty great for the price.

Good bag for mounting batteries. zippers are only weak spot

No issues with replacement controller

These pigtails save my life so much and I'm always glad to have extras for connections. They're great for making adapters as well and it's so much easier to deal with a pigtail than a bare connector without soldering.

Wow! Incredible little bike! It is faster than expected and handles like no dirt bike I have ever riden. I have been riding every brand of bike for at least 5 decades. This bike just fly's through the woods and on the shoulder of the road to the trailhead. I put a back pack on and estimate jobs and run to town with my orv. Sticker. Can't wait to get some upgrades and make it even better.

Impressive battery life

These are great battery bags, just don’t cinch the top Velcro straps too tight. They’re not designed to have the weight hang from the top tube.

Awesome pedal;s, great traction. good with all shoe sole types and patterns. They do seem to mute the trail bumps better then other good flat pedals. The elastomers are doing their job . plus you get them in colors that can compliment your color theme. Best pedals for the price on the market. One small knock... they should have pedal wrench flats on the sire of the axle for tightening rather then a hex in the back.

If you are about to purchase an Ebike or want to convert your favorite bike into an Ebike. Power it with a Cyclone motor kit and a Luna Wolf V2 52v 13.5 ah battery pack, it is affordable and powerful! As an avid hunter getting older I decided that I needed a powerful ebike to get deep into the woods and pull my deer back out. After reading and watching countless hours of articles and videos I determined that the power that I wanted was going to cost me $4,500 or more but then I stumbled across a YouTube video called “Battle of the mid drives” that showed what kind of power the cyclone 3000w mid mount planetary reduction motor delivers. I have taken my new GT bike/Cyclone motor out about a dozen times. I have tested the battery power, speed and hill climbing capabilities. At full throttle riding along the shoulder of the highway I started out at 43 mph. and was able to travel 15 miles before I drained the battery down to a level that the BMS decided to turn off the power. It is harder to describe the hill climbing power but in my lowest gear I was able to power up every hill I attempted. I feel like the wheel will lose traction before the motor loses power. Bottom line is I am completely happy with my decision to purchase my kit from Luna Cycles and recommend that anyone thinking about purchasing an Ebike to purchase a Cyclone 3000w motor kit! If you have some common sense you should be able to install the kit. I have $1,650.00 invested into my bike build, that is cheap considering the power my bike delivers. My next bike build will be with 27.5" x 5" Fat bike tires and install the Cyclone kit on it.

Good quality . Perfect for trails.

I originally attempted to use a traditional rocker switch for my auxiliary battery system, and while it worked initially, it failed in not too long. The traditional switch out turned it was melted even though it was within spec. Using relays was clearly the right way to go. This package was so easy to use, smaller than anything I could diy and the switch with Built in light super cool. Crowning touch to my battery pack project!

These work great pared with a good torque wrench. They also included 6 brand new face masks. Thanks for thinking of me Luna.
