Loving my bike. Luna shipped exceedingly fast, over a Holiday weekend. Only issue was FedX really tried their best to destroy things, as the bike rear tire had broken through the bottom of the pallet, and the front fork wood holder was terribly mangled. had to pick through things carefully to find all the loose parts. My bike is now doing duty in our local SAR group.

My first Build.
First and foremost, I live on a 37 foot sail boat, so believe it or not, it's tiny, so the bike needs to be small. In and out of the interior of the boat, into the dingy, and then across to the dock. The bike is not as light as I would prefer but beggars cant be choosers. Stock bike was 27 lb, now with upgraded racks and motor it is 44 lb, and snap on the battery is 51~52 pounds. Same as a 9.8 horsepower Tohatsu Outboard.

I used my second Dahon Mariner D7, 20 inch folder to build this. The first one, 13 years ago did not make it around the world, it had a lot of rust-able steel. The new Mariners are almost all aluminum and stainless. Not all but close.
The motor is a Bafang BBSHD from Luna Cycle, (I rode dirt bikes and Harley's for 40 years, and More Power is Better) the battery is also from Luna Cycle, its a Luna Wolf. I did add one more bottle bracket (rivet-nut, nut-rivet, nut-sert, whatever for added strength) I may add one more for shits and giggles.
By the way, with this bike, It folds exactly as it originally folded.

The factory gearing on this bike was 52 and 28-12, 28 was still a killer to get up a steep paved rode for an old fat guy. The new gearing is 48 and 28-11. I am using the Luna Eclipse 48, with perfect alignment on #4. I am pushing a little on the peddles at 22 mph running a few hundred watts up a caws-way bridge at 50 volts. (80~85 rpm) in 11t. I think that I would like for Luna to build a 50,52,53 or maby a 56 or something? Eclipse Ring. Maby in the future? At present I can get up to a top speed of about 40 mph (now) with a full battery on the freeway or parkway where it is flat and smooth in 7th gear. That is a 48-11 and 20 inch tires. I might add, I weigh 210.
I upgrade the tires to Schwable Marathon Plus 50 kph rated E Bike tires, yes a bit heavy but a dam good tire.

All the baskets and rear racks are for my normal shopping. You should see me come out of the home de pot with all my stuff and load it onto my bike. The new rear rack also has a bonus times two, number one, my panniers no longer hit my heels and the number two bonus is there is space inside for a really big battery.

On these little bikes you must have ether a mid motor or a battery in the middle of the bike because loaded panniers will lift the front wheel off the ground when you are not on the bike. Not convenient when at the grocery store trying to load your plunder. This little bike has really good balance, even when fully loaded.

So far I have not had the opportunity to use the 28t or 24t on the cassette, I don't have any tree stumps to pull and at present I don't have a 100 pound trailer to pull up a steep hill. I start out sometimes in 21t but mostly 18t.

It looks like I will be getting 60 to 80 miles per charge, don't know for sure because I am still breaking in the battery. But 60 miles minim per charge.

I think that I may want to add a bottle bolt under the aluminum frame for a motor support bracket. (it is an aluminum BB) I have not decided yet.

I still need lights, a trailer, a Brooks spring saddle and a Rohloff hub :-).

I have made this setup for my wife. She wasn't able to follow me anymore at speeds above 22 mph with her regular bike. Now we can ride so much faster, and half the time, she's in front!
I had some questions and Seb answered them all. He's such a nice guy to talk to.
My only small complaint is that the new DCP-18 display only offers 5 PAS settings. I would suggest ordering the programming cable to be able to change it to 9 settings.

The Ludi controller will blow you away. Eric and the Luna team know what ebikers want
and there Ebikes, motors and upgrade Kits exceed performance levels not available in the industry. The controller upgrade on my BBSHD build has people following me in their cars to ask me “what the hell is it, and where can I buy one”. A picture is worth a thousand words and one ride on the Ludicrous a thousand thank you’s. I will keep this bike forever.

I love my Sur-Ron aka Ducati X Bike. I did some upgrades on my bike. I got the Supermoto Wheels and Tires, I powder coated my sprocket black and bought a red chain to go with it. I also bought a Acerbis upper Fork covers,and I got a JBL Bluetooth speaker so when I’m riding around every day I can listen to my music it’s awesome thank you lunar cycles you’re the best!!! Luna Cycles responded very quickly to my questions and I had no problems with the installation. Anyone who has some knowledge of bicycles can do this. There are plenty of videos available and Technical support from Luna.

The ultimate do it all street legal moped and bike trail ready dirtbike.

The bicycle was well packed and arrived seemingly undamaged. The bits needing assembly went together very quickly and easily. After a short initial test ride, when I went to recharge the charger showed fully charged (both lights green) but the bike display showed only ~40% charge. It turns out there were a couple electrical issues. The charge cable connector had a stripped screw and allowed a wire to pull loose. I then pulled the motor to get at the internal charge port wiring to find that a wire had pulled free. While it was a big bummer to have these issues, Luna support was helping me each step of the way. They shipped me the parts I needed and I'm back up and running.

I love the bike. I was looking for a pedal assist cycle with the gates carbon drive, and my search landed on LUNA the day after they announced the Stealth Fixed. It was exactly what I wanted. My goal was to cycle recreationally for fitness, but needed some help on the steep hills near my house. For this particular use, the motor size seems to be just right. My son, who is about 50-60lb lighter than me really gets a good boost. I got the large cycle and I'm currently weighing about 125lb and have my dog (another 20lb) riding in a basket on the back. I live in a rural area in the north where the roads have a lot of damage from frost heaves, and some areas are unpaved. Getting a suspension seat post was a big improvement for riding comfort. I bought a Sr. Suntour seat post, but had I realized that Luna carried the Cane Creek Thudbuster I probably would have ordered that at the same time I ordered the bike. The Sr. Suntour seems to be doing a great job. I've never ridden with a Thudbuster so I can't say which would be better.
