The sharpener to have in your kitchen drawer and in the work shed. What a great way to quickly put an edge on your kitchen knives & scissors. So easy to pull the blade through before using it each time so food prep is a snap.Sharpening my loppers & pruners was a snap too. For less than 10 bucks, it can't be beat. I see a few Christmas presents with this already.

The Pro is a good sharpener to keep at the house it is a little big to carry around in a backpack. I like that i can sharpen all sorts of knives, axes, and gardening tools. The pivot allows you to sharpen hooked knives with big curves. Unlike it's little brother the Pivot it doesn't have any anti slide grip to avoid slipping on smooth surfaces. The use is easy and gives you a 20 degree bevel every time. If it had the anti slide I would have given it 5 stares

Very efficient tool. A bit big to stow in my hunting pack, although it is lightweight. I like the pivoting design on the more flexible blades.

This sharpener worked great for a variety of knives, including serrated blades. Scissors were a little tricky, but I think that's normal with any sharpener. I also used the diamond plate to easily sharpen an old splitting maul that was suffering from a nearly blunt edge and several nicks and dings. My only critique would be that it could use some rubber pads on the bottom to help keep it stabilized on a countertop or table.

I must admit that I was very skeptical about this sharpener before trying it. The price point along with the method it used to sharpen had me curious as to the quality of the edge that it would produce. Since opening the package I have been able to put the sharpener through a gauntlet of tasks. The first task was to sharpen six Old Hickory paring knives which we use as steak knives. My initial reply was"Wow". I was very impressed with the speed, ease and quality of the edge. Yes the knives are carbon steel and sharpen relatively easily, however the pivot pro really made quick work of the bunch. With no more than right passes on the carbide cutter and three on the ceramic the knives were extremely sharp. This is a huge plus being that they full so quickly cutting on dinner plates. The next task was some kitchen shears. It took me a minute to figure out how to use the scissors sharpening feature, but once I did I was a pleased how well it worked. It also worked well on some stout pruners and a small hatchet. The last task I completed was to sharpen all of our knives at the Firehouse. At first I was only going to do several and at the end I sharpened all of them mainly because it was so quick and easy. So , who is this sharpener for? I would say everyone. I am a knife collector and there are definitely some knives that I will only sharpen a certain way by a certain means. I have traditionally used the Work Sharp Ken Onion edition with the blade grinding attachment and that system works beyond great. The only drawback is it is normally a small event setting it up and working through the different grits. The pivot pro is down and dirty and gets it done with little fuss. The sharpener is perfect for the kitchen drawer, the shop, the truck or where ever you need a quick razor edge and a convex edge at that.

Great sharpener. Had it on the table while processing my moose and caribou and it kept both my fillet knife and chopping knife sharp. Also, I sharpened the table scissors with it and I was impressed. I would like to see a felt flap on the top to wipe off meat prior to sharpening so it doesnt get gummed up. Definitely a good sharpener for a field kit or on the garage bench for quick sharpening

If this won't sharpen it...it probably shouldn't be sharpened. Very nice sharpener. I knocked out all the kitchen knives while watching the second half of the Packer game. The point...easy to use, idiot proof, works fast, and safe. Scissors sharpener is a nice surprise. I like the wide Diamond Plate section, I need that for the tip section of one of my knives. I think the horizontal configuration of this unit provides a much more stable platform than the other carbide handle sharpeners out there. Stability equates to consistent edge.

This sharpener seems to do it all. When I received this tool I went from room to room in my house finding things to sharpen. Kitchen knifes, scissors, an axe, field knives, a pruner, and even my fine blades. They all were easy and came out sharp as if I had spent several minutes on a stone. I was pleasantly surprised by the light weight and handling of this tool. I can recommend this product to anyone no matter their skill with sharpening.

This sharpener works exactly as advertised. The carbide slot dressed up the edges of seriously neglected kitchen knives and the ceramic slot put a wicked edge back on them. This sharpener is easy to use and gets the job done.

Does it all. GREAT camp/hike sharpener. Does it all. Even the ole hatchet!

For a handheld manual sharpener, this one takes the cake. Not only does this sharpener achieve razor sharp results, it also is very versatile and compact when comparing to how many types of blades it will sharpen. What I really love about this sharpener is how well though out the design is and how compact the various sharpening options blend right into the product. It seems as though the first tool everyone sharpens are knives, but I am here to tell you that this thing sharpened an old pair of scissors instantly with just a few pulls. The scissors were in such bad shape that I almost pitched them into the trash.

I decided to test this product using a new pocket knife. I managed to dull the blade on some beef bones then test out the sharpener to see how quick it is to restore and acceptable edge. It only took a handful of strokes to create the convex edge and after touching it up on the ceramic side the edge was more than acceptable. The scissor sharpening portion of the tool was also tested and it brought an old set of scissors that have been forgotten in a drawer back to life.

Light and compact and will sharpen anything in your kitchen or camp box. Great for kitchen knives and with the built in handle it makes it safe for just about anyone to use. This one will go with me to hunting camp this fall.

This is a great sharpener! I was amazed at how quickly I was able to get my Wife's kitchen knives sharp. She is very hard on knives and in a matter of minutes I was able to get all of the knives in the knife block sharp again including the serrated steak knives that I've never been able to sharpen very well. I'm excited to see how the convex bevel will hold up to her use and abuse of the knives. The sharpener I was using before was giving me a flat bevel, but already the convex bevel is holding up better. The diamond plate on the bottom has been great to sharpen and touch up all of the tools in the garage. The tool carbide was even able to bring new life back to my lawnmower blade. This is a great sharpener and I look forward to getting many years of use out of it.

Quickly refresh knife blades with minimal effort, who wouldn't want that. A few strokes was all it took to renew all my kitchen and pocket knives back to razor sharpness.
