I bought this shirt on a whim. I love PAKA’s alpaca items and wanted to give their Pima cotton items a try. The price was right so jumped in. Boy, am I glad I did! This shirt is sooooo soft! It is the perfect weight for layering. I’ve worn it under a Breathe full zip hoodie jacket at times and also under a sol hoodie. It has plenty of room and give without being too loose; definitely not tight or stiff like some cottons but still substantial. I also like the understated logo and the color goes with everything. It will be one of my “comfy turn to” items for years to come.

I’m 5’3” 130 lbs. The XS “The Hoodie" is too long. I can imagine the length working for people that are rail thin as the material drapes nicely on that body type. But I need the bottom of a shirt to end before the mid pint of my hips. This hoodie was so long that material makes e a person look chonky. OR you have to pull it down over the hips making a tight fit over pants. My husband has a hoodie and it looks SO good on him. I just think it’s designed for someone without hips.

The size chart said that I should order an XL size. After some research, I went with a large, as I usually buy in most sweaters. I’m glad I did. The large fit perfectly. It’s been great for golfing during out unusually cold April. My Paka is not only warm and light, but is not cumbersome either. I will buy another Paka soon.

I’m planning a trek to Everest Base Camp in late October and thought I would try out the Paka Alpaca socks with my Salomon hiking boots beforehand. What an amazing combination! I use the socks regularly in my training sessions and find them to be super comfortable while remaining dry. I’m guessing they will stand up nicely on my 80 mile round trek. Highly recommend to any trekker/hiker regardless of the distance.
