Overall the forearm is a great purchase. It really adds a lot of customization to a pretty bare bones lever action. Only issues I had was the forearm scratched my barrel near the receiver because it was a tight fit. A little carefully applied cold blue took care of them though and they are essentially impossible to see. One of the swivel stud holes I have is also a little too small and my sling mount did not fit, but the other two work. These issues are to be expected on a custom machines part, and I feel the versatility and cool factor makes up for them.

Thanks for the feedback! Yes, sadly, anodized metal and/or Cerakote paint can be scratched off easily. We wish this was not so!

I replaced the trigger in my 1894 CSBL with this trigger. The rifle is unmodified otherwise. The stock trigger broke at 6.75 lbs., and this one took it to 1.5 lbs.. I was hoping for 2.5 to 3 lbs. I use this rifle for target shooting, but if I were to take it hunting, I would have to put the stock trigger back in, because I feel this one is too light to carry safely.
