Hello! The Henry X models will load with the opening but the cartridge needs to be angled slightly. Henry pushed the loading port back a smidge b/c they added the side load ability which most prefer to use and it can still be loaded from the front of the mag tube.

I had a small issue while installing the handguard. I received a phone call from one of the RPP guys who easily explained how to work around the issue I had to install the handguard perfectly. Awesome group of guys!

It would nicer if the state of Texas had been iindexed right. When you tighten the Texas takedown screw the state of Texas is upside down. If you hold the gun like you were going to shoot it, Texas is upside down. It bothers me. i am sorry that I am a perfectionist.

Thanks for the feedback. We do index it on our end but every rifle across Marlin, Henry and others does not start their lever screw threading at the exact same place so they're not indexed.

It is light weight. It looks to be well made. The screw holding the loading gate would not stay tight. Blue lock tight on it and after loading 40 rounds through it, screw was loose.
