An excellent article. So, the interesting thing is that I bought my 1895 over 10 years ago from a “seconds” rack at a local store during the time when Marlin was using worn out machines. Come to find out the 400 dollars I paid for it meant that I had the opportunity to tear into it and find out how it worked and where the parts were that still needed work. I had a lot of productive fun doing that but seems that as you sent me a well made standard size lever like SHOULD have worked it needed modification because the sides of the rifle where the lever attached were narrower than the lever as were the sides where the lever is held when closed. I got to have even more fun sanding down the lever to where it currently fits very nicely, thank you very much! Blessings.

Received my handguard today, I am mostly pleased with it however there is a small nick in the handguard which wouldn't stick out too much but it is black, haven't installed it yet though

Very nice product. Excellent fit and finish. Received in perfect condition with no flaws. I had to pre-order but forearm was delivered in the timeframe that was promised. Installation is easy (easier than expected). For my uses (mainly for fun), I do not see many advantages over the stock forearm, but it does look really cool and gives my lever action rifle a very nice modern/retro look. Highly recommend this product especially if you have a need to add accessories to your rifle.
