This is an excellent sight. I would like to add that RPP went above and beyond to make right a problem that I had with a different order. For any parts that I need in the future, if RPP makes it, they will be the first place I go to. For anyone needing sight or other parts, I highly recommend RPP. Fit was quite tight but was able to push it on with a little force. Crosshatch is a bit aggressive for everyday use and is larger than I was expecting. All in all though it is a great piece!!!

Plainly put, its the ****. Everybody hootin about that chisel machine stock is missing out on money saved AND adjustability. Highly recommended and it helps with the thump of that 45-70.

Fantastic fit and feel! Love everything about it.

I pre-ordered the Gen 2 handguard a few weeks ago when it became available, and it was delivered right on time and exactly as promised (which is a rarity nowadays). I already had the Gen 1 handguard from before so I knew of the various quirks of the magazine and barrel couplings. Perhaps because of that, it was a cinch to remove the Gen 1 and install the Gen 2. The bedding rigidity of the Gen 2, however is heads and shoulders above the Gen 1. Although I had loc-tited the tenon mount to the barrel with the Gen 1, it kind of bothered me that it was still rather loose and tended to slide from side to side during use. No more - the four set screws do a great job of retaining the position of the handguard relative to the magazine and the barrel. This Gen 2 is noticeably lighter, too. With a side loading gate I rarely load from the tube, but the option to load from the tube access port is a nice touch.

All said, the Gen 2 is totally worth the upgrade over the Gen 1 in every possible way. If you're on the fence because you already have a Gen 1, don't hesitate - get it now because you won't regret it.

I received the first Gen handguard.... I wish it was the 2nd generation handgaurd. Either way I am very happy with my purchase!

It's great. It looks looks good on my Henry H010AW 45-70. My model has the dovetail brass bead front sight and I had to Rais my sight to the max for a 100 yard zero. I guess I will be ordering one of your front sights to try and get the sight back down below the protective sides of the sight base.

This is a real nice light weight stock to go on my marlin 30-30 . Can’t wait till I get it finished!
