I can't recommend the loading gate enough. I was on the fence about it initially thinking that it couldn't make that much of a difference. Boy was I wrong! It is a world of difference. If I ever own another marlin, it will be one of my first changes.

I was surprised at the recoil reduction. I was shooting 325 gr bullets sitting over 52 gr of IMR 4198, moving at nearly 2200 fps out of a 16” barreled 1895 Dark. The recoil should have been ferocious, but it wasn’t bad!

Obviously reason number one to get this handguard is because it just looks cool, but another good reason is it is also very easy to install. I think in total it took about 15 minutes.
Has a sturdy feel to it and feels good in the hand with good balance/ergonomics.
A note on RPP: When I noticed the cerakote dude manged to strip out one of my screws, I reached out to RPP and they had a replacement set in the mail the same day. Can't beat that.

I have installed a number of Ranger Point Precision parts on my 336. The loading gate is just the latest. I really like the ease of loading 30-30 rounds into the tube much easier than with OEM parts. I plan to purchase more parts for this gun as I can afford them.

Completely changed the look, feel, and function of my Marlin 336. As soon as an aluminum medium loop lever is in stock I plan to complete my rifle with that. Overall, I was very satisfied with the products I received from RPP, the loading gate is buttery smooth while loading and the trigger has almost no noticeable resistance, perfect for staying on target.

So far I had added/replaced the magazine follower (anodized aluminum) and front site (fiber optic) with Ranger Precision Point parts. This time I replaced the OEM
hairpin extractor with the Precision improved design extractor. The main thing doing the change is follow the video instructions and keep control of the coil spring during installation. The action now is smoother and the brass ejects consistently. The Ranger Point parts and a few other tweaks have turned my Remlin 1894C into the great Marlin rifle that it should have been out of the box. Thanks Ranger Precision Point!

I have installed the RPP trigger, loading gate, aluminum follower, and the lever takedown knob. Very nice trigger pull, and unloading from the new loading gate is a breeze.
Still planning on getting the dovetail barrel plug, the bullet tubular magazine end cap, and a Wolff reduced power spring. Improved capabilities and super fun aesthetics.
