Simple and easy to install. The factory trigger was about 7lbs. I gave the factory hammer sear a slight stone polish and when combined with this sear gave me a crisp 2.5lb single stage trigger! Much better than the factory and much better shooting experience!

Henry X Hammer Extension Silver (Ambidextrous)
I spent the last few days in the field with a Henry 45-70 with one of these hammer extensions under a scope. It worked outstandingly well. The aggressive surface yielded positive control of the hammer when cocking and de-cocking, both with bare fingers and gloves. The surface takes a bit of getting used to, but well worth the $$.

I was mildly skeptical of fully replacing the trigger on my Marlin 36A. But it dropped my almost 7# pull with harsh break to just over 3# with a very smooth break. It was very easy to install, especially if you already have experience breaking down your rifle for cleaning.

I purchased this recently cause I liked the look it provided. However, I’d purchased a handguard that wasn’t RPP. The factory holes didn’t quite line up so though. So with a quick trip to Home Depot to pick up a finishing washer and screw, followed up by spray painting and baking in the oven, I had all that I needed. I lined everything up with where it should be, used the longer RPP provided screw in the front with a spacer, drilled a hole just big enough for the rear hole, and threaded the screw up into the tube.
It obviously wasn’t designed for this exact use but if you happen to have a different handguard for whatever reason, with an ingenuity, you can still have the dube tube look and it’ll look great.
