My daughter and I had a little money from a home sale and we'd always wanted a Murphy bed. We were moving into a NYC apartment with a very tiny third bedroom that wouldn't have accommodated a true "guest size" bed. We'd seen a video of the Clei furniture on Facebook and found Resource Furniture just a bus ride away. Our favorite purchase ever is the Poppy bookcase/desk/single bed with a beautiful mattress that gives a wonderful night's sleep. Thomas was our salesperson--very accommodating and knowledgeable. We're moving out of state and even though we'll have a home with large bedrooms, this piece will go in our bonus room. It is our favorite piece of furniture ever--wonderfully made and it makes our tiny bedroom serve so many purposes...Just beautiful. Yes, it's pricey but worth every penny as far as I'm concerned...

This is an amazing furniture store. In this day and age people associate innovation and tech to software companies. This is one of those companies continues to innovate with technology even with the handicap of physical materials as its medium. (Meaning software is cheap, physical products are expensive)

Many consumers on this page complain a lot about the price tag. Now that everything is produced so cheaply, I think people forget that a good product costs a lot. It may be subconscious and no one is stating that they're doing this comparison but comparing this type of high quality furniture to Ikea is like comparing Peter Luger's to McDonald's. Yes Ikea has a really nice brand but it is essentially the same model -- cheap materials, cheap models, high volume, low prices, with a very systematic way of producing the furniture.

I am not saying Resource Furniture couldn't do with revisiting their finances/business model but there is nothing wrong with the price they charge for their product. There are very few stores that do what they do.

You're right, people with small living spaces generally don't have the money to purchase these items. I don't think that is for a yelp reviewer to lower the stars for. It's a bit narcissistic to think that this furniture is specifically built for you.

Advice to the owner - if you had to reply to a Yelp reviewer on where the money goes there's an issue with the business. Either you're not transparent enough, the branding doesn't do well with a certain demographic, or there really needs to be an adjustment in the pricing. Not knocking on the product - it truly is amazing. I am convinced if you guys started with a Kickstarter project the perception would have been different and your pricing might have been different as well.

James Bond-like morphing furniture, nice staff who have the extreme prices on the tip of their tongue and don't have to go "look it up." If only they could manufacture this stuff locally as well as in Italia - the country could do with some help and a lower carbon footprint ...

Our designer emily worked diligently with us to put together the perfect space for our tiny studio apartment. we had a couple of bumps in the road and steve jumped right in and resolved the issue to our mutual satisfaction. you will not find a more comfortable mattress, beautifully designed furniture & wonderful installers!

I've been coveting a resource furniture bed for a a guest room for years. The staff was helpful and after my order was placed in the showroom they were responsive via email. Yes it takes 3 months, but they held the piece for me once it arrived and I wasn't ready to receive it. The installers were very nice and efficient. The bed looks great. Can't wait for my guests to use it!

This company is amazing. The design and function of these units really make sense out of city living. My salesman, Thomas, was so great with me. I was clearly there for a table but by the end of my visit Thomas had me hooked. He's very, very detailed in his explanation of the products. All in all, it's a bit out of my price range today but I would love to have their new standing murphybed one day..... I would highly recommend this store to anyone looking for duel-purpose furniture that is very high quality. Great showroom, design and salespeople. Thanks!

I don't write often, so when I do, it's usually thanks to an incredible experience that I just had to share!

I decided to stop into this location on a whim while traveling out to NYC for business. What brought me to them was the fact that they sell the famous Italian line, Clei, which features modular furniture for maximum space efficiency. I didn't have an appointment and when I first arrived, I felt a little intimidated by the fact that I was just a 'walk-in' but that quickly subsided with the friendly atmosphere and sales associates.

Long story short, I haven't decided on what I plan to buy yet, but I've been working with Thomas and he's been a dream! He's been patient with my multitude of questions, and he's been super helpful helping me brainstorm alternative options based on the space and my needs. I feel like he probably knows the measurements of my room even better than I do now!

Thomas made me feel so comfortable with the whole process. Top notch service and I can't recommend them, or Thomas highly enough!

I love the furniture and creativity and would definitely recommend going with Challie. She's super talented and knows what's up. Tight quarters of NYC doesn't mean giving up happiness.

Wow. Just wow. Some of the craziest, classiest, most avant-garde furniture I've ever seen. And yet, tremendously practical... Unique products. Helpful and friendly staff.
