Restoring a 1978 Ford F150 Ranger Lariat found in a barn last year. These Damplifier mats are installed on the driver's side door already. Just opening the door handle from the outside already sounds different. That hollow metallic cavity sound has been reduced to a dull thud and I am not even done yet. Excellent results, worth the $ to purchase the gold standard product. Definitely sticking (no pun intended) to the Second Skin brand.

I have a 1997 Land Cruiser that I have spent countless hours sound deadening. I did some data logging of sound change before and after. I will not that I have a 100% mechanically restored 80 engine exhaust etc and I have some Michelin LTX.
My initial dB were 40 engine off on drive way
55db idle warm,
72db driving 40 down a local road.
Over bumps it peaked at 88db.

I started with the rear floor as it’s the most open and resonant space. Damplifier pro and luxury liner went throughout the whole floor. Then I moved to the door and quarter panels with the same combo. And the roof I used damplifier pro with mega zorb. For my sunroof tray I used overkill because of the smaller gap. I have pictures of heat in the headliner after in a 110 degree day. And the only way heat gets past is the sunroof

Driving 40mph 59 db
Over bumps peaked at 78dB
I will note that as you make everything structurally quieter and kill airborn noise any weather strip seals will show themselves. The bass noises which are the hardest to mitigate feel louder over bumps because it’s the only noise left. I will try spectrum and see if that helps but Reguardless it has been a great project. Something to keep in mind as well is glass can be the last point of noise and heat so you’ll want to get a good window film to keep the UV down

I bought the Second Skin rubber isolators to place under the feet of my sim racing rig, and the difference was immediate. They significantly improved the quality and feel of my haptic feedback devices — I’m no longer losing vibrations into the floor. Everything feels tighter, more precise, and immersive. If you use a ButtKicker or any tactile transducers, these isolators are a must. They’ve really taken my racing experience to the next level.

I recently spent a few days reducing the noise in my 2008 RAV4. The attached picture shows the situation after all the interior was out. That process probably took about two hours. I then put down Damplifier Pro on the floor and rear wheel arches with approximately 70% coverage. After that I put down Luxury Liner Pro aiming for 100% coverage. Lessons learned are that the Luxury Liner Pro needs to be cut back anywhere that seats or plastic trim needs to go, as it’s just too thick for those items to fit.
Both products were exceptionally high quality.
I used an iPhone-based app to measure noise before and after the install. At 65 mph on the same stretch of fwy my noise went from 70 db to 64. I will likely do the door skins too when I can find some time.

Celluzorbe acoustic panels are a perfect price/ performance ratio. I'm using it in my pop up portable collapsible vocal booth. I needed a something for a buffer between the acoustic tiles and the wood. Don't want it to sound boxy and I put the panels on the inside walls already to get a feel for the sound and it actually sounds better than any other combination I've tried it with the standard foam tiles that you see in a typical hone studio over the 1 inch thick celluzorbe I'm getting about 97% noise reduction but I'll still have to get an actual room reading to see how much is actually taking out.

For some reason, after installing your sound proofing kit, I had a vivid memory of the lyrics to one of my favorite songs of the 70’s by Simon and Garfunkel…”Hello silence my old friend”. Wow, a perfect verbal description of an actual product…the technology and application of your product truly exemplifies “The Sounds of Silence”. (sorry, I did not take pictures and the sink has been mounted 😳)

During renovation of an older cabin I was disappointed the existing refrigerator was so loud you could hear it through the unit . Bought a new one and it was at least as noisy as the original. Installed the cellulose panels and happily surprised by the improvement. Wish I had a decibel reader because it’s hard to quantify, but at least 50% quieter , probably more , and that’s even without full coverage. The glue is easy and works perfectly. Trimmed the panels with a serrated kitchen knife . I do a lot of projects and this is the first review I have ever written. It’s a winner, remarkable difference and inexpensive. Start to finish was 30 minutes. If you have a loud refrigerator, try this before buying a new one .

You need to make sure that your air compressor is up to the task, but this product sprays on great and works very well. Extremely happy with the results on my 1985 VW Vanagon.
