Everyone I worked with was super helpful and cooperative. They got some extra material shipped out fast after got it here quickly after the job had already begun.

Product was exactly what I expected and worked great for insulation in my van floor.

It is excellent as a sound absorber. And if I was lining an appliance it would be great. Car doors is a different matter. Unlike cld or vinyl wrap, melamine foam cant be repositioned and if it self adheres your screwed. The adhesive gets all over your fingers and rips the foam. Im sure the adhesive could be toned down a bit.

I purchase two Rubber Stomp Mats to place under my electronic drumset. Second Skin was very helpful answering my questions and helping provide quotes and estimates. Highly recommended!

I used #M Thinsulate in a toy hauler/camper after pulling the original ceiling and minimal insulation down searching for a leak. With the leak repaired, the 3M product offered the best mix of insulating value and ease of installation.
There is certainly a learning curve in applying the spray adhesive (to both the space and the insulation) and then getting the insulation placed precisely in the space. I tried insulating the simplest spaces first, which was helpful as I tried larger and more complex spaces. I am hopeful that the #M Thinsulate will provide improved thermal protection from both hot and cold environments, but have not actually camped to test it out.

The sound insulation is working. Haven’t had a game in it yet, but seems to have deadened it.

We have black 26 ga. Metal trim on sides and ends to clean up the edges for looks.

Needed something to put under our Washer/Dryer and a Treadmill. We first bought one for the W/D and it worked great. Was a big help in reducing the noise and the size was perfect. We then bought a second one for a treadmill. Again, it greatly reduced the noise and fit perfectly. Great product and I highly recommend. PS, it is very Heavy!

Mega Zorbe Pro worked well for my use case, which was to seal off a window air conditioning unit installed in my truck camper. Its fire resistance, hydrophobic characteristics, compressibility, and performance in temperature extremes all contribute to its suitability. The Mega Zorbe Pro also provides a degree of additional sound dampening over the RV manufacturer's stock method of sealing off this AC unit.

I used the adhesive-backed 2" Mega Zorbe Pro for my application, which I cut into blocks using a Cepco Insul-Knife (recommended to me by SecondSkin), and then used the adhesive surface to join two 2" blocks into a single 4" block which I compressed into the 3" space on either side of the AC unit. It is a tight fit, but creates a far superior barrier to what was originally there. I'm very happy with the outcome.

In addition to sealing off the front of the AC unit with Mega Zorbe Pro, I used 1/2" Mega Block to insulate the sides of the cabinet which houses the AC unit. This cabinet is ventilated to the outside, so the sides of the cabinet represent the only surfaces on the RV that aren't heavily insulated from the outside environment. They are now.

My final step was applying 1/2" Mega Block to the back side of the stainless steel trim. Note the 1/2" of open space I left in front of the Mega Zorbe Pro blocks to accommodate this.

The Damplifier mats in combination with the Mega Bloc foam board worked like a charm to deaden the engine noise in our classic wooden boat. Great attention to detail and product instructions must be paid when installing this system, but the results are well worth the effort.

I recently applied Second Skin‘s Spectrum coating to the underbody of a highly modified 81 corvette. The success of that project lead me to commit all the way and also install layers of 1 lb and 2 lb MLV throughout the interior. I’m 100% satisfied with the results! The 3rd generation corvettes present several challenges from a sound control perspective. The floorpans and other interior surfaces are made of large areas of flat non corrugated fiberglass which effectively act as a drum head transmitting noise from the exhaust system and wheel wells which lie within 2 to 3 feet of the driver. I was absolutely impressed with the job that the MLV did controlling and deadening unwanted noise. Using a combination of Spectrum underbody coating, butyl backed insulation, closed cell foam, and finally, MLV; my car sounds like a tomb when you close the door. I’m pretty sure I have the quietest C3 on the road!! Awesome product!!, easy installation! Terrific performance!!! 100% satisfied!!

The sound deadening products require great attention to detail and care to install properly, but they are clearly the best professional grade sound reduction systems available.
Over time the original Mylar faced foam sound insulation lost it effectiveness. When my passengers began holding their hands over their ears, it was high time to upgrade. Our 66 year old family classic mahogany boat is now a pleasure to ride in again.

I had a fairly new fridge that was hit by lightning. I liked everything about that model except it was SO noisy. I found this fridge kit online at Second Skin, called and talked to their expert, and decided to go with the same model fridge that I liked but to install the sound insulation kit. wow, my replacement fridge is SO much quieter than the original one because of this sound insulation!

I used it to on my camper shell over the curvy areas. The peal and stick is very sticky you have to be careful with it, but overall I really liked the product.

Worked great for my first teardown project ever. Used dynamat, THEN Second Skin CCF, then MLV. The sticker side on the CCF made it a breeze to cover the whole car.

After discussing my goals with Erik at SecondSkin customer service, I ordered enough Megazorbe to cover four doors for the most improvement to road noise and speaker sound quality. It combines perfectly with a base layer of Damplifier Pro and was very easy to install. Megazorbe is durable enough not to tear while working in a tight area, but is lightweight and very easy to work with. I did one door in about 30 minutes with cutting to maximize coverage, but the majority of improvement can probably be had even faster with less than 100% coverage. Next up will be the firewall, cargo walls and eventually the cabin ceiling!

Replaced a 30 year old furnace. New furnace had a newer style motor that was pretty noisy. New sheet metal between the intake air plenum and the existing duct did not have any sound absorbing material. Sound was measured at 87+ dB and the return air intake ( noise source) was opposite the kitchen door. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen and could not hear the TV at max volume that was less than 10 feet from our kitchen table. The furnace installation contractor wanted to reroute the return air source, cutting holes in the ceiling of several rooms and routing a lot of duct work in the attic. That was not acceptable. What I did was install Second Skin recommended 1 inch ECOVERB sound absorbing material to the inside lining of the return air intake plenum and that gave our home the quiet that we had before the new furnace. The sound level was now measured at 31.9 dB.

First, the customer service was very helpful and responsive to our questions. The CelluZorbe panels are easy to cut to size, lightweight, and highly effective. We used them to dull the loud a/c noise inside a manufactured home. Definitely recommend this product and this company.

I applied the 1.5in Thinsulate to the roof of my car on top of 2 layers of damplifier pro, made a noticeable difference, also rain noise is insanely muffled now especially for a car with a metal roof an no sunroof.

Very pleased with my experience ordering from Second Skin - Eric was very helpful throughout the process. Also happy with the EcoVerb rolls - installation was fairly straightforward using the stick pins on the metal ceiling of this space, and while we've only just finished the installation I can already notice an improvement in the acoustics of the space. A previous tenant of this space had done a similar ceiling treatment in a separate room using fiberglass duct board, but the cotton EcoVerb material seems superior from an acoustics standpoint and was significantly preferable to work with vs. the duct board.
