This was the first time I have ever ordered 2lb MLV and didn’t realize how heavy a roll it actually is. The fact that Second Skin has free shipping is amazing but I didn’t realize the size I had ordered would require a semi and a fork lift. Fortunately they called me and explained the situation and changed my order to two rolls instead of one to make it lighter at no additional cost to me. It was delivered and worked perfectly to add some extra sound proofing to my sound booth. It can be tricky to work with and lift but it probably has reduced my noise floor by about 20%. They definitely had the best price for the quality, quantity, and delivery I could find online.

Not yet installed, but non-adhesive version passed burn testing. Outstanding service - swapped out product to ensure I had the right thing for my application. A fan for life!

Great quality, would def recxomend this to anyone looking for quality products and service if needed for guidance on what product best suits your needs

Great product, have yet to install as I am ordering more material for next weekend install, this project on car is going to be another 2-3 months to complete. Will have photos later for you.

16+ & 13+ years later, Second Skin STILL holding up!

A long time ago in 2004, when SecondSkin was new in the game and still owned by "ANT" (Just read he sold in 2010), I gave them a chance and used 180 sq. ft. (overkill) of DampPro in a 4Runner and about 3 years later in 2007, 120 sq. ft. (overkill) in a Tacoma.

More recently I had two issues arise in the 4Runner, one in the Tacoma.
One was a broken window motor and the other was a sunroof drain for the 4Runner.
The Tacoma had a broken window.

Upon popping down the headliner and door cards off, Second Skin was still bonded like the day I put it on.
I used a lot of alcohol to clean the panels prior to installing in both vehicles.
Since it was cooler when I did the 4Runner, I also used a heat gun lightly.

I am back shopping around from a 3rd time for a new 4Runner I picked up, but am holding off because prices have obviously gone up with the years.
Anyway... I saw these reviews, and decided I would let you all know SS performs well 16 and 13 years later.

I doubt it will show me as a verified buyer as this was over a decade ago and new owners, and I am not even sure of my email at the time.
I wish I had taken photos at the time when doing the work, but I was not planning on getting another vehicle, therefore I saw no need in even thinking about doing this project again.
Sure, it's not hard to pull a door card, but when as you age, other things become more important.

Butyl is the way to go. When I was big into car audio, I know a lot of people "cheated" with asphalt based products that had melted off 2-3 years later. They regretted it as it was such a PITA to clean off all the residue.

Anyway, I hope you find this review somewhat comforting should all things be the same or improved.

Second vehicle with SecondSkin. Impressed with the quality and consistency of the product. Was shipped Overkill with my order instead of Overkill Pro. Called customer service and they made it right and shipped out the correct product the following business day. Impressed with SecondSkin the product and company.

This deadener is fantastic. I forgot to take pictures while applying it because I got into the zone and just wanted to get the project done. Highly recommended!!

Haven't had a chance to install yet but upon inspection and handling this product is top notch. I'll have to do a full review on performance after install. Can't wait!

Excellent mass loaded vinyl arrived fast, is durable, and quite heavy.
I installed it in the top and sides of my computer case to block fan noise.

Used it in n my new stainless steel kitchen sink. This stuff works! The garbage disposal is way quieter than I expected!

My on-demand hot water heater's metal surround vibrated every time a pump was activated which would disturb the bedroom occupant right above the unit. I installed some Deamplifier Pro to the offending metal which deadened the vibration noises. What a great solution!

works well

I was asked to build a custom copper sink for a client with an historic home. I considered approaching the fabrication from several angles and settled on making a 20oz. copper pan that would be hammer formed to facilitate the water draining efficiently. I felt that some sound deadening and added stiffness to the copper would only improve the quality of the sink but my testing did not identify a material or adhesive that would give me that and withstand temperatures approaching 212 degrees. The advertisement for this product convinced me to give it a try.
The Damplifier Pro was easy to cut and apply even over a slightly domed surface. It added stiffness to, and quieted the copperwork nicely. I was careful not to let the bare aluminum edges of the product contact the copper anywhere, avoiding galvanic reaction. I was happy to have found this product and will keep it as an option for future applications.

Good product. Great price fast delivery and “no delivery charge.” Highly recommend Second Skin for their product, no delivery charges and great customer service.

I am SO glad we decided to go with Second Skin Damplifier Deadening Mats. I'm using them in my skoolie and I can finally hear myself think while driving this beast, thanks to the damplifier mats. They were super easy to install, feel good, smell good, and are better for the earth and our bodies than asphalt based sound deadeners. Truly worth every penny.

These made my car sound amazing.. dont even need a sub with these.. i would recomend to everyone

Great product - Went on much easier than I expected and I would absolutely use it again.

Great product, easy to work with unlike the other brands. Makes a huge difference! My music is much more enjoyable now!

Works well, but You can get it at harbor freight for much cheaper.

Amazing product, highly recommended for those who can see the whole picture of sound deadening ina in a car. My 3rd time using these guys
