Love my Super Feeder! Purchased it years ago for a gentleman kitty & it worked great for years. Recently brought the Super Feeder out of storage for a new rambunctious, hungry, and rather crazy kitty. The little monster managed to break into it on the first day! I was thrilled to find parts still available from Super Feeder and have now modified my feeder to be Beast Proof. Modifications: Mounted base of the feeder to a concrete patio tile so the cat can't tip it over; replaced the screws on the hopper & lid with longer screws that go all the way through the plastic so he can't take it apart; new chute and bowl so he can't reach up into the dispenser. I love how well the feeder works after all these years, and if it weren't for the modular nature of the feeder parts, I wouldn't have been able to make the modifications necessary to work with my crazy cat!

Have 6 of these, always working in any weather. Very reliable doses. I can depend on these feeders feeding the exact amount every time.

Excellent in every way. It arrived in two days, was in use by the end of the day and the (three) kitties are adjusting to it. This is our second one - the first built to be used outside and raccoon-proof. We will probably sell that one, as it's quite valuable as it stands. We hope our new one will put an end to our free feeding and overweight kitty issue. Many thanks for making such good products.

Super-feeder is such a great product! I've had 2 for years (at least 8) and for the first time I needed to make a repair. It was super-easy.

Yes, the feeder works good. Timer ordered with feeder not the same as shown. With 2 cats feeding from the one feeder, I had to figure out how to install a divider so each cat was getting the same proportion. I used a one inch spring clamp, clamped to the plastic cover .

The Super Feeder is great, my cats like it and they have already learned the times it shoots out food. I have two cats and one has food anxiety, he binge eats and then barfs. So far this set up seems to be working out great, no barfing. It was easy to assemble, well made and I like the design, you can customize it with different parts to suite your pet feeding needs and if something breaks you don't need to replace the whole thing, just the part. The one slightly negative thing is the analog timer that I ordered with the unit was huge and worked for about a day. When I contacted customer service they responded via email quickly, were friendly and offered to send me another, but instead I went to my local hardware store and bought a smaller Ward digital timer with a self charging battery back up for $14, wasn't hard to figure out the programing just give yourself enough time to read the directions. It works perfectly, puts out the food at the exact time. I really like this feeder and am glad I bought it.

I don't often review products but as I stood in the kitchen cooking dinner the Super Feeder in the corner came on and did its food drop. Within seconds my little buddy, George came running in and ate his food. The impressive thing here is when I first got George, he was a rescue from the local shelter. I think because he spent the first weeks of his life battling for his food in a room full of cats he was a little pig. I could not leave a full bowl of food in the morning and go to work. He would eat the whole bowl immediately and then cry for food the rest of the day. So...he was feed so he didn't cry. By the time he was 2 George was going for a record. He weighed 27lbs. My vet got after me about his weight and told me I was killing him. This is when I started looking at feeder options. Tried one from the local pet store chain and it was garbage. It was unreliable and George broke it three weeks in. I did an internet search and found Super Feeder. Thought it was kind of expensive but it looked to be worth the cost if it was as advertised. I purchased it, set it up as per instructions and it worked like a dream. I found that I could beat my little cry baby fat cat by having his food drop in extremely small portions every half hour 24/7. Instead of him crying for food he quickly figured out the schedule and it worked for him. So, how did this work for me and my little buddy? George quickly trimmed down to optimum weight. George is now 22 years old and I'm pretty sure the feeder is 20 years old. I've never done anything to the feeder besides clean it and fill it. I'm convinced that part of the reason George is still in fantastic health at 22 is because every time that food drops, every half hour, no matter where he is in the house he runs to the feeder. It gives him tons of exercise. My vet is always amazed when I bring him in for his yearly check ups. Says that if he didn't have the records proving it he wouldn't believe he is 22.
Bottom line...if your on the fence about purchasing a Super Feeder just do it already! I'm convinced at this point the cat and the Super Feeder will out live me.

I have been using these feeders for well over a decade in my 1000-gallon fish pond. Its heated and insulated during the winter months, so the fish are eager to eat year-round. The feeder is out in the weather with minimal protection and functions faithfully in temperatures down to zero degrees and is literally unphased but anything mother nature can throw at it. Thanks to the feeder my daily feeding duties are non-existent, which simplifies my life significantly. The feed intervals are computer controlled, and I run a counter which lets me know when it’s time for a refill, which is roughly once a week. As the feeder is a mission critical component in my pond system, I always have a spare on the shelf, but its been sitting there, virtually unused since I purchased it, as the original unit has never failed.
This past summer I began caring for an outdoor feral cat which I have been feeding 3 times a day ever since. When winter arrived, I shrink-wrapped my summer gazebo which has now been converted into a winter kitty habitat. With the help of an LP heater I am able to keep the space nice and cozy regardless of the outdoor temperature. Once I had the habitat up and running, I started looking around for an automatic cat feeder. Low and behold, I soon discovered that my faithful fish feeder had versatility far beyond my wildest dreams. A fish feeder and a cat feeder in the same package, simply mind blowing. A couple tests later, and with a wee bit of tinkering, my fish and my outdoor cat are in good hands with my Super-Feeder, doing what it clearly does best. Which from my perspective, is feeding just about anything you need it to. Who would ever believe that the same unit could be so reliable in applications that are literally on opposite ends of the spectrum? Hats off to this company for a truly remarkable product, and for their customer support which is second to none!

I purchased the superfeeder because my Cat eats too fast, he’s a gobler. Consequently he gulps air causing him to throw up. I’ve had other feeders and they’ve worked well but the ones I’ve tried dispense 1/8 of a cup at the minimum. I needed a feeder that dispenses even less. So I contacted the superfeeder folks via email and by texting. They could not have been nicer. The feeder came quickly. Following the video, it was easy to assemble. I chose the manual timer because it allows up to 48 feedings. I was able to adjust the feedings to a very small amount. So my cat gets fed often but very small amounts. While the jury is still out, thus far my Cat has thrown up once which is far better than three times a week. As time goes on ill probably fine tune the feedings even more. To date the superfeeder has fit the bill, this was a good purchase. If I had a magic wan I’d like the feeder to have a battery backup if some kind. I highly recommend this feeder particularly if you have a cat that eats too fast.

Had my 1st feeder for about 6-7 years and it stopped feeding accurately. I found out you have to clean the spider wheel periodically....who new? I bought a second feeder and installed it.
The directions were excellent along with the video supplied on installation. The new one works great, very accurate (we use larger pellets for our cat). Again adjusting the opening to the right dimension is important for repeatability. Our cat lost 8 lbs since we have this feeder. Our Vet was amazed! We also took advantage of the recommended increased # of cycles (every 3 hours) to a total of 3/4 cup per day.

The super feeder auto feeder for our outdoor cats has been a godsend. It works perfectly for feeding our outdoor feral cats while traveling. Can’t say enough about the product.

I had three different type of auto feeders. This is the best one of all. You can control the feeding amount far better than other brands - I can set as little as 10 pellets per drop. It’s pretty straight forward to set it up. I strongly recommand this product to who need it.
