So far I love it. I had to search for some time to get a 'seconds' timer i felt would work. I started with Mist king since its the system its used for. but his never lasted me more than a year. This one i've only had for almost 2 months but it seem to be going well and is bult of better construction. Felt alittle expensive though

With so many years in the business, and the great information on the website, I figured it was going to be good but it was better than good. Love the product and could not believe how fast you guys shipped it and it was delivered. You guys are wonderful!

Ok - I've had the feeder for several months now, and feel I can give a full review. For some background - I have a nervy cat that is prone to vomiting, so to counter that, she gets small, regular meals. She had figured out how to break into her prior, more simple tray based feeder (it took two years, bless her determined little soul, but she still got there).

Additionally, when I travel, she will not come to eat for anyone else but me. (Before that causes controversy, know that the babysitters will check on her, but she will not come down and relax enough to eat)

After much research, I determined that the Super Feeder provided the most flexibility, as well as being a sturdy, well made piece of equipment. For the jump in price between this an a lower tier feeder, it needed to cover all of my concerns regarding portion size, sturdiness, un-crackability, and ease of use, in case my family needed to use it when I was away.

Firstly - the purchase experience was painless, and the owner reached out to talk to me, and address any questions I had - fantastic! Secondly, when I received the feeder, it was well packed and secure, as well as included complete and detailed instructions.

This is a solid feeder, it feels well made and sturdy, but once you have it set up, you don't have to fiddle with any of the permanently installed parts, you can access the food supply easily. It feels substantial, and the most difficult thing is figuring out the timer (which is only because I had never used a timer before).

Having a feeder like this with a cat like mine makes life so much easier. I can't free feed, but with this, I don't have to fuss with her food every four hours (which I was doing previously). The feeder (with no extension on the food supply), holds many days worth of food, and I know she's taken care of. It has never jammed (I will say I am using pellet like food, so I'm not challenging it, but looking at the mechanism, I don't think that could ever be a problem), and while not whisper quiet, it's inobtrusive. It's not the prettiest feeder (although that's hardly a requirement), but I think, if you're looking at this type of feeder, at this level of cost (and if you're here, you've done your research, and know that a cheaper feeder will not work for you for whatever reason), THIS IS THE ONE TO BUY!

I used it as provided, no modifications - which look awesome, but beyond my technical ability, and really, not necessary for my situation, and it is great.

I purchased two Super Feeders for our cats a few years back, for when we go out of town. They have worked out very well and held up excellently. Unfortunately, one of the cats knocked one off the table recently, and it fell top-end first on the tile, shattering one of the plastic feeder cups. I was so glad to find that the cups can be replaced separately, and at a reasonable price, too! I got one to replace the shattered one and two more in case we need a third cup on each feeder for a few more days worth of food for longer trips. Thanks!

We travel a lot so this has been a life savor. Purchased the preassembled unit. Loved not having to put it together. Upgraded to the digital timer. It was super easy to program.

I have an outdoor cat that adopted me. He is a sweetheart, but too wild to bring into the household. Not to mention the fact that my indoor cat wouldn't put up with the invasion of his space. When I leave town I want to provide for my outdoor friend. I had purchased one of the models sold at the pet store for close to $100 and after much rigging I set it up to try to defy the raccoons. Those rascals would find a way for that one to dump out all the food regardless of how much work I did to it. It was essentially useless against those masked bandits. Then I found the super feeder. This feeder works great with my system to hide it from the raccoons. What I did is build a porch in front of the cat's insulated house I built him for the winter. I drilled a 3" hole in the porch and fashioned a 3" PVC pipe that can be screwed into the wood of the porch. I mounted a piece of 2x4 on the top of the porch and this is what I secure the super feeder with. I drilled a 3/4" hole into the upper part of his cat house where electricity is available to plug in a light in the winter to keep his house warm. There I can plug in the timer to the super feeder to dispense his food. Then I found a kitchen plastic trash can to put over the super feeder to keep the raccoons from opening it up. I screw the trash can down to the wood porch to keep it safe. The food drops down my 3" pipe to a bowl that I have screwed to the porch. It takes me about 15 minutes to set this up when I am going out of town. But it does what I want it to do. Thank you for building a quality product that works well for my situation. It takes a bit of "engineering" to protect it and feed your furry (or fishy) friends and defeat the outdoor bandits; but it is possible with your feeder.

We have three small dogs and this feeder is a life saver. Worth every penny and indeed the most reliable and durable. We just load the gallon hopper and set the timer to the feeding times we desire. No more worries for weeks after that. Fits perfect with our busy work schedule.

Truly the best investment I've made with this unit. Did I mention, our dogs love it!

We did a lot of research into automatic feeders before choosing Super Feeder, and we couldn't be more pleased.

We have three cats, and we wanted automatic scheduled feeding and portion control to ensure that our cats don't overeat from free-feeding, so we bought three Super Feeders. We've found them to be well-engineered, and they have worked flawlessly for us for several years. We've never had any problems with dispensing or any other mechanical functionality.

The feeder in these pictures is now 10 years old, and has evolved step by step in response to determined raccoon attacks. The double paving-stone base was to prevent the banzai-style attacks of multiple raccoons trying to topple the device. The second picture documents the chewed-up wooden shield to protect the discharge port of the feeder. It is truly ugly, but has worked for years. On multiple occasions, prior tot this, they got into the mechanism and ripped out the wire that bounces the discharge plate. The second hopper was added this spring, and gives 10 days of a 45-second dispense, three times a day. There has not been any problem feeding Purina Complete cat food.

On another note, I tried for some years to put a waterproof timer on this structure to set up the feeding times. I finally gave up. Digital timers invariably get moisture in them causing failure, and the mechanical ones are, basically, junk. So the wire now leads through a hole in the garage, tied to a digital timer with attached power supply. It stays bone dry, and has been bulletproof.

As you can see, there is a satisfied customer using it, and several neighborhood cats gather at the first dispense of the day at 6 am.

The feeder is pretty complicated to set up, but luckily I heard about it from a friend who has one and was able to help me. Once it was set up it has been great to not have to worry about feeding my cats. My only complaint is that it is very loud. My friend said he thought it might get quieter as time went on, but it has been months and it is still just as loud.

I love my Super-Feeder(s). I came across these feeders about 5+ years ago. I've used a couple of different feeders in the decades I have been in the Reef hobby and they are all junk. The Superfeeder is the best! I am able to mix various size pellets, flakes and powder foods. I feed the corals and the fish whenever I want. I loved mine so much I gave one to my Dad for Father's Day for his Koi pond. He now has one on his Freshwater tank too. I now have 4 Super Feeders at my house. I got Unique Corals to install Super Feeders on each Raceway. They started with one for feeding the fish, and now they added a second one on each Raceway for adding Yeast. I feel pretty confident in saying that since I bought my first Super-Feeder I have convinced no less than 20 people to add the Super Feeder to their aquariums. And to date the only failure is when they get dropped into the tanks.

Purchased the feeder close to a year ago for the feral cats in our gated community. Liked the first Super Feeder so much I purchased a 2nd one for another location in the community. It is compact in size and easy to adjust the amount of food to suit the pellet size. We were able to attach the feeder to a 4x4 about 3 feet up in the air and with a length of eaves trough connected to the spout, food drops directly into the bowl. We did have to build a box around it to keep the raccoons out. Excellent unit for the price.

Solid feeder. Our persistent cat can't get into it as long as the lid is taped or sealed shut through other means.

As soon as putting the feeder together (which was very easy) and plugging it into a smart outlet it instantly worked as intended and still is after months. Thank you!

This kit came with everything we needed to get our cats set up with the new automatic feeder. We had one of the rotating feeders before, and our cats broke into it easily. They haven't been able to break into this one, and it's allowed us to set it and forget it. I also really like the wide bowl that comes with it as it makes it easier for our cats to share. Definitely watch the set-up video as you set it up. Worth the cost.

This is the 2nd unit we've purchased for our cats. Originally we used one unit that split the same food into two conduits. Now our cats need two different types of food due to specialized diets. This second one was easy to setup and runs off the same automatic digital timer as the first so that both cats don't get agitated that the other is eating at a different time.

Pros:
- Massive amount of dry food storage. I don't have to refill the food for at least 20 days.
- Mostly tamper proof. Our cats tried and failed to get into these devices. They failed miserably, and gave up after about a week of trying.
- Automated timer and food amount is consistent. We set ours to ~1/3rd a cup, 3x per day. It's always at the right time and always consistent amount of food.
- If a part is broken or missing, it's easy to buy that specific part from SuperFeeder. This is VERY useful. Our original design was mounted to a 2x4 stand so that we could separate it into two bowls. We no longer use this setup since only one bowl is needed. However, we apparently tossed some of the parts we originally received and had to purchase them from SuperFeeder again. This was easy to do.
- Never Jams. Literally.
- Can set it up anywhere in the house.

Cons:
- Sometimes the food jumps out over the bowl due to how fast it's moving out of the shoot. There's not much you can do to prevent this. It happens to about 1 out of every 15 kibbles. Our cats generally just eat the food out of the bowl.

Thoughts for improvements:
- Not a drawback of SuperFeeder, but we can't get one cat out of the other cats bowl. Perhaps some type of RFID attached to their imbedded tag could trigger something that protects the food. I'm not sure how this could be accomplished.
