This is my second booking and has been really easy both times. Coordinator Lauren very quickly answered a couple of questions by return before i booked. Excellent company.

I have requested these two individuals on the YouTube video to get into contact with me. This is a great start to understand the paper trail needed for importation. If I don't hear back from either one of them, I will email them.
I have potential importers in Costa Rica who I will also get in touch with but just reiterate, not without your support and approval of all written communications.

I am going to help the sanctuary get free dog and cat food with my contacts from my work. I have a few which I am going to be looking up. I have studied the Costa Rica regs and must find an importer of feed that is certified by the government to bring in goods. High tariffs and red tape bringing in food that is made locally.
Heat and humidity was at times unbearable but either an air con room it made it livable.

I am going back in Feb/ march as my goal is not done yet. If I didn't need to come back I wouldn't have. A small town 5 hours bus ride from San Jose. It was perfect for me , quiet, low population and amazing people.

It was a pleasure working and sharing this project with all of you.
The cats are very lucky to have such enthusiastic volunteers, I am a dog man but could take over a shift if needed.
The time here has passed too quickly and I know for some of you not quicker enough, but this experience has given me perspective on how I look at sanctuaries that truly care about the animals, environment and giving back to the community with the castration clinics.
I don't have any regrets coming here and living on El Fugio campus even though I know my engagement with all of you has been limited and over the weeks become easier to get to know each of you one way or another.

I welcome to the new volunteers arriving next week. Take in everything you can think of and make a difference to these special animals. I know I have even to the point of sponsorship for Dottie. My wish, to get her into a new home so she can be a happier dog.

Kelly and your dad, Randy, are very much the welcoming party for us and I appreciate your patience and support during my settling in to the residence.
